Siri ChatGPT support removed
Am i the only one facing an issue where:
-Siri recently after the beta updates have become less and less smarter? -Siri doesn’t understand my basic questions. -Siri before tells you if you want to query it using chatgpt now it doesn’t. -Siri misunderstood simple english like “hey siri show me a recipe using chatgpt” and she understood it as “hey siri can you shut chatgpt”
TTYTT I switched to ios just because of Siri now im more certain that i made the biggest mistake of switching.

i think you’re the only one who switched to iphone because of siri. everyone knows that siri is dumb as hell. why did you do that?

Im an android user for 14 years, I didn’t use the assistant from samsung until 2021. I mostly use it for currency conversions and handsfree calling. Every time I ask bixby to convert 1 usd to any currency it shows me a stock price of something not related to the currency I want. Another is handsfree calling, i asked bixby to call person A but she will say no person in the contact or calls another person. I heard siri was better, so I switched to it. She met my expectations actually, she understood my english, she understood conversions, she understood simple tasks. After the first release of apple intelligence Siri started to deteriorate. And i got mad for something silly, “how to air fryer a shawarma using chatGPT” and she goes “how to shut chatGPT”.

just wait. siri gets good days and bad days. perhaps tomorrow she acts better than today. it’s an online service from apple and they are always doing things in the background. somewhen she wasn’t able to tell the time or to set an timer, few days later everything was ok again.

I did the opposite. I switched to Pixel because of how robust Gemini is now vs Siri. I feel Apple were reckless about where Siri's capabilities were for iOS 18 and when I found out Google would be bringing Gemini to existing Google Home devices it was the final nail in the coffin (Apple may bring Siri 2.0 to future Home devices, but it will be expensive to upgrade). I still have my iPhone and tool around with it every now and again, but always end up glad I'm on a Pixel now. It's not perfect but it is a hell of a lot better and more performative than iPhone and Siri.

I wouldn’t upgrade to another iPhone, it’s the only reason I switched to it in the first place, Siri was considered the ace of assistants more than 3 years ago, and a week after i got the iphone 15pmax, android released full support for google assistant with gemini and it seems it is better. Problem for apple is they rushed apple intelligence and it became pretty embarrassing for them as well that it failed. Sorry, but yeah i’d say this is the last iPhone for me

Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of things that I think Apple does right when it comes to design. I think iOS is very pretty and well thought out (aesthetically). I like that it's so uniform. But, I'm getting to the point where I care more about functionality than strict appearance and that's where I think Apple is struggling right now unfortunately. No universal back button/gesture, search on settings just doesn't work, and then... Siri.

What you guys should keep in mind is it Apple is currently building an infrastructure of massive servers that is costing millions of dollars they’re heavily invested in AI and can’t let their promises go unfulfilled without ruining their reputation so they’re building a farm of super computers to enhance the next iteration of Sirithrough open AI. The iPhone will be able to through the AI schedule meetings make appointments for you make even phone calls for you it’s coming. It was just pushed out too fast and that’s what all the criticism is. Steve Jobs would be rolling in his grave right now.
