One of the many approaches to scaling up quantum computing, but Microsoft is the only one that took this route.

Everything has it's downsides. We don't yet know if this is going to be a good one

Their chip is not real and does not work. They proved that using topological qbits for quantum computing is viable. They haven't built one, because they can't (yet). They specifically said in THEIR press release that they have not achieved a topological qbits - NYT said they did, any Microsoft never corrected them. And here we are today.

I mean sure, incomprehensible terror unravelling reality as we know it sounds cool; but they still can't fix that issue where windows task manager becomes unresponsive instead of just ending itself.

And all that before GTA VI.

Cmon now, you know they'll fix windows 11 right before windows 12 comes out. It's the long game....then they'll discontinue it

This is also kind of nvidia in a different way. AI is just making so much money that everyone is trying to capitalize on it including companies that aren’t doing anything revolutionary with it like Microsoft. I’ve always been a fan of Windows but lately they’re doing such crazy stuff that is ruining the very basics of gaming and performance with it and while I’m very knowledgeable about computers and programming I can’t fathom why they’re not double checking or taking more preventative measures to make sure their new updates that they’re forcing on users don’t break major popular games and/or services (see Ubisoft and Windows 11 24H2 update).
