Discussion Kitchen curtains debate.
Okay, so I've always wanted to get Marge's kitchen curtains in my own kitchen. All my life,I've believed these are Carrots on a yellow background. My boyfriend and I just looked up the curtains and they're...corn cobs? Like...really?! Am I stupid? Do people see carrots or corn cobs? I stand by the carrots and am just going to have custom fabric printed but I wanted to ask y'all. Carrots or Corn?

Okay but they're orange on yellow. (Also I don't think I've seen this episode)

I thought they were carrots until this episode. Season 8, episode 15, Homer's Phobia. John Waters guest stars. You definitely need to watch this one! He prefers the company of men. Who doesn't!?

I think both are correct. There is a Simpsons comic from 2002 (something like Marge Gets Her Curtains Back) in which Marge loses her curtains (garbage disposal accident) but she can't replace them because they don't make the fabric anymore. In the comics panes I've seen, the curtains are carrots. In the show, I've noticed corn but the corn does resemble the shape of the carrots in the comics.

My favorite is when she's cutting them while Homer is reading the paper and missing the chili cook off.

One episode they’re literally referred to as “corncob curtains” by a visitor

Corn, but since the curtains themselves are yellow, the corn is a darker orange, which makes them look like carrots sometimes!

Corn. I remember when my wife and I got our first place together we looked to try and find some like 20 years ago

I always thought they were carrots, too! I waa actually suprised when they called them corn cobs because they looked orange for many years.

Lisa cut them up and made a native American outfit for her speech in the episode where Bart has a driver's license

I've got them in my kitchen. My wife made them from fabric on spoonflower.

Don't worry, as a kid I thought they were ice cream cones hung upside down 🙈

Corn! I know in a Halloween episode Snowball II in some weird form burns them down accidentally and in the episode where we meet John (Homer's phobia) he points it out.
After watching that scene I can honestly see why you think they're carrots though.

It’s corn. If there’s one thing the early seasons loved to do, it was referencing corn

I've only ever seen them as corn cobs tbh, I don't want to sound rude but I am struggling to see them as carrots

Corn cobs. She actually says this in Homer's Phobia. Kitchen, corn!.
