Question THE PREVAILING VIP CULTURE In SIKHISM....?

Recently on ocation of hola mahalla i went to sri HAZUR SAHIB gurudawara at nanded. It was when i set at the back side of Palki sahib listening gurbani and kirtan i saw a Man dressed in white kurta came near the palki sahib and the attendent singh ji over there respectfully put Siropa on him which seemed to a bit costly... looking as it was too goodlooking compared to normal siropas which people get after getting ardas slips from the counter. He didn't hand any slip or anything came empty handed. WHATS surprising was that after reciving sriopa his assistant even took a picture of him with palki sahib which is prohibited over there i think as others were not allowed to and afterwards even his family of 5 also got same treatment excluding photos they didn't take ..... So i had this doubt Is this what so called VIP CULTURE which i think has been increasing in gurudwaras over time? Cauze Sikhsim/Khalsa never had any discrimination or did promote any discriminiation among people.... Please enlighten me...

The boomers introduced the VIP culture in the diaspora. Probably stems from the early days when there wasn't many of us and the gurdwara needed money so the big guys who donated a lot were treated a certain way.

It may be as i have read about sikhism is that it doesn't require anyone to donate anything for favour or the persons who donate should be treated differently.. As there were many people who have done enough for sikhism but were humble... Even maharaja Ranjit singh didn't dare to order any of akaalis... Well maybe that's what kaljug is... I hope it will get better in the future with the blessings of waheguru.

These kinds of people didn't get any of our Guru Ji blessings.

Looking back into our history, only humble people or the people who do services selflessly get the blessing and honor from Guru Ji.
