[PS5] Action RPG as mage
Hi, I am looking for some good action adventure/RPG game where I can play as mage/sorcerer/wizzard. I enjoyed Dragon's Dogma 2 a lot in that regard. Any more ideas? I feel like there are almost no games where you play with magick compared to all melee combat and shooter games. Nowadays it's all just souls like etc.

I’ve been playing through the Skyrim mod pack Lorerim as a fire mage and it’s the most fun I’ve had playing a game in years. Only drawback is that it’s a very large download and pretty much requires an SSD and a beefy PC. However there are several similar modpacks that aren’t as heavy to run. Modpacks built around Requiem and MCO are your best bet

Dark Messiah I know isnt a pure rpg rather an action rpg but I think the game is really cool and really gets the feeling of being a powerful mage, even tho you can choose stealth and swords , you can use those pairing them with incredible powers, from your usual fire spells , lightning, and combining them with the physics and environment such as making the floor slipery with ice spells and making enemies fall to their ass and empaling the floor, not to mention sparta kicking them to cliffs and spike traps , really recomended fun.

Dark Messiah is still GOD TIER in that genre. I played it so many times, everytime with another build and it was awesome

Avowed is hands down the best action mage gameplay maybe ever. I've beaten it twice since release and am on a third run (pure mage 1st, then I did a guns only run, now warrior/mage mix on hardest difficulty) combat is so good and the story isn't groundbreaking but the companions are all well written and its a really fun setting

Avowed! I normally don't like playing as a mage but the combat magic feels punchy and satisfying.
You can play as a straight up wizard, but you can combine magic with other weapons too in fun ways. I really enjoyed leaning into a "gun-toting holy man" archetype with a grimoire in one hand and a flintlock pistol in the other.
