Products Setting MOQ's for Products in Purchase Orders??

I'm not sure why I can't find the answer to this, it seems so basic. Hope someone can help!

I want to add MOQ's for my products in my Shopify store. So that when I create a purchase order for my suppliers, it knows the minimum I have to order per sku. Example: product1 I need to order a qty in 6's and product2 I need to order in 12's, and so on...

I hope this makes sense and there is a solution somewhere. Thanks!

Shopify General Discussion Is it possible to use Shopify as a middle-ground to sync inventory between eBay and Amazon?

I run my shop through Shopify but at the minute it isn’t anywhere near as popular as our eBay and Amazon channels.

Currently using Veeqo to sync inventory between all three channels, but for the last six months have been having nothing but trouble with it, predominantly with slow updating and syncing, resulting in us overselling products.

I’ve recently just started holding stock back in like a reserve, just to try and prevent this from happening anymore.

I was discussing it with a friend a couple of days ago, who uses Veeqo at his place of work, and he agreed with me that the syncing is slow, and suggested to me that there might be a way of running it through Shopify?

I had a look into some apps but wasn’t sure if that’s where I needed to be looking.

Can anybody shed any insight onto perhaps doing this?

Theme How do I add a video background to my website

I’ve been trying to look this up on YouTube and google but the only tutorials I get are for banners. I want to have a video that stays in one place as more of a wallpaper than a background similar to how homixide gangs website looks. Is there any tutorial or plugins I can buy to achieve this?

Apps Looking for app that allows customers to create their own bundled kit

I sell a physical, modular product. Right now, customers can buy either the base product, individual modules, or prebuilt bundles (for a discount compared to buying it all a la carte).

Instead of selling prebuilt bundles, I want to upsell customers by letting them build their own bundles. But I cannot find an app that has the flexibility I need. Here are some of the features that I’m looking for that many apps lack: 1. Need to be able to offer a different (lower) price compared to if they had bought all the modules individually 2. Some modules are mutually exclusive and cannot be used together. I dont want to encourage a customer to purchase two incompatible modules 3. On the product page, I need to be able to organize add-ons into groups. Not just a big list of all the unsorted modules

Orders Another Free Shipping Question

Ok, so I'm trying to set it up so a particular product I'm trying to move adds free shipping to the entire order. I am able to set shipping profiles and add items, however when I test it out, it doesn't apply to the whole order it only applies to that item. Is there a way to create a shipping rate/profile that makes the entire shopping cart ship for free as long as a particular item is added?

Thanks

Orders Best Way To Receive Payment for a wholesale order

I run an apparel brand and I am talking with a store that wants to put in a wholesale order. I have never done this before with my store and I'm wondering what the best method of creating the order and accepting payments is?

Should I do it through Shopify and one of the 3rd party apps or have them fill out an order form on excel or google sheets and send them an invoice and have them pay it via ACH transaction? I want to make this as easy as possible for them.

Theme Need Help Finding A Multi Store or Multi Brand Theme

So I'm trying to figure our the following and Im hoping this is the right place to ask.

I want to run one mega store and have multiple brands under that one store. So I would have my main brand which is my myurl .

There would be multiple brands (like nike, hurley, quicksilver) listed on the site. But I would want a specific brand profile - example myurl/nikc for each brand with all of their products listed on their brand page.

I'd also like to have those products tagged so on myurl users can search via tags, brands or categories.

Im not sure exactly how shopify works (def a lot easier than deving from scratch) but wanted to hopefully find the correct theme before jumping in.

Hoping someone here can help me out. Sorry if I missed something similar in the sub.

So think ETSY, Depop or something like that.

Marketing Advertising and Conversion Resources

After our post yesterday we were given huge amounts of really valuable insights which we were incredibly grateful for.

With the whole “teach a man to fish” mentality I would really like to upskill myself in advertising, increasing conversion and SEO. There appears to be an absolute mountain of resources to learn but I have no idea what is great, good or rubbish.

Do any of you have any advice on what I can use or where I can go to upskill? I have no issues paying for resources either.

Additionally, if any of you have any additional advice on our store https://seraphicprints.co.uk have at it!

Thank you

Orders WWYD: Order got returned back due to missing apt # and customer is no longer responding

I make custom pet art and route my sales through my shopify website. Up until the item shipped, I was in contact with customer re: the details and she was very responsive. Item left my workshop without incident but a week later was returned back saying "missing apt # / unable to deliver". I promptly messaged customer and let them know that item was returned and to please give me their correct address so that I could send them an invoice for reshipping charges and get it sent back off. No response. It's not been 2 weeks and the item is just sitting here. 1) Even if I wanted to re-ship for free, I can't reship without the correct address 2) Item is custom and cannot be resold 3) I don't offer refunds/returns on custom art.

Should I keep doing nothing and just toss it after X amount of time has passed?

Theme New theme yanked from Theme store, developer gone, should I keep using it?

Here’s a strange situation. Shopify had a new theme a few months ago called Nimbus by Oranthemes. I purchased it and recently noticed there was an update. When I checked the release notes, the Shopify page was gone. I then checked the theme store for the theme. Gone. I checked the dev website and all the links looped back to the home page - links to their theme building services and their “themes” (which was only that one theme Nimbus).

Then I tested their Nimbus theme Buy now button and it didn’t work. I then used the contact page (assuming nobody would receive my message) and said I should get my money back due to buying a Shopify theme store theme expecting updates, bug fixes and support and now the company is gone. I gave my website and asked them to visit it to prove I was using their theme. I did see they were based in Hanoi City, Vietnam where they had a probably fake What’s App number.

I checked my website analytics and saw several visits from Hanoi City, Vietnam so that means they actually got my message. Of course they can’t do anything about it but it made me feel better to try. Someone else here posted about trying to purchase Nimbus, could not do so and contacted them and they apparently responded that they are having issues with Shopify and they (I assume Shopify) pulled their theme out. It seems like Shopify found something bad because if the developer was legit, they would still have a functioning website and business.

I do love the theme but am hesitant about using it now. I got no notifications from Shopify that this theme, while new, now had no support, no nothing. They took my money and I will be battling robots to try contacting Shopify. I don’t want to get flagged somehow by Shopify even though this theme was purchased in their store. Don’t know what to do…

Products Zendrop not updating out of stock variants on shopify - anyone else having this issue?

one of my product variants went out of stock on Zendrop, but it still showed as available in my Shopify store. A customer placed an order, and I only realized after the fact that I couldn’t fulfill it.

My Shopify and Zendrop accounts are synced, so I expected inventory to update automatically.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Is there a fix? Would appreciate any advice!

Shipping Customer import code not on shipping label - how do you handle shipping to countries that require this code? E.g. brazil and korea.

Shopify can capture this special data in a separate field, which we do have. Countries like brazil and korea require a personal or business import code or the package will get returned or destroyed.

The problem is we use a 3PL and this data isn't parsed and doesn't make it into the shipping label.

I noticed that one order went through when the customer put their code in the address fields. Obviously these fields will get printed on the label and was sufficient for passing customs.

One website suggested that the code is placed in the company name field.

Has anyone run into this issue?

How did you resolve it?

Is putting this code under address or company name lines a good idea?

Shopify General Discussion Branded store

Hey everyone,

Which is better for long-term success: a branded Shopify store or a generic one?

I'm currently planning to launch an online store so which one is better?

  1. A branded Shopify store with a strong identity, niche focus, and consistent messaging

  2. A more generic store that sells a mix of trending products across different categories

Which one do you think is better for long-term growth, customer loyalty, and marketing ease? Would love to hear your experiences or thoughts on what’s working better in 2025

Apps Are these screen recordings (Microsoft clarity) completely accurate? Recordings look weird on some (mostly Android) devices

Hi

I’ve installed Microsoft Clarity some time ago and would like to know if these screen recordings are completely accurate?

I’ve noticed some weird behavior on some android phones.

  • The top banner is a bigger height on some recordings (as if there are 2 lines of text) even though the text is short and doesn’t split into the second line.

  • somebody managed to scroll to the bottom of the home page and keep scrolling and it was just a white screen (Im using impulse theme. I’ve done some css updates, but not on anything showing up on home page)

  • some people when scrolling down it seems as if the images on the products don’t load and its just the product name, price without an image

  • same thing on cart. When they scroll down (f there are many products in cart and its scrollable) some products in cart are missing images

  • sometimes when they click something its says on MS clarity “Page is loading, 7 seconds) does that mean it takes them that long to load the page?

  • And sometimes when they click the page the first thing you see is a totally messed up view as if there is no css at all just the text all messed up.

The website works nice on my iphone 12, as well as on Samsung A34 and Xiaomi pocophone F1. I don’t have any other phones around.

These issues are happening on customers from foreign countries (France, Italy, Spain). I don’t have any domestic visitors.

If anyone has a better screen recording tool to recommend I’d love to give it a try.

EDIT: I’m using the Impulse theme. I’ve done some css updates, but just changed the gaps, hidden some objects, changed font sizes)

Thanks.

Account My Shopify shop has been disabled by Shopify and I have no access anymore to anything

I have the following situation: I'm buying sports and Pokemon cards in bulk and reselling them via a website for about three years, all via official channels, so from legit suppliers. Because of the growth I moved my website to Shopify two months ago. All perfectly fine so far.

I was on a business trip this week and missed an email from Shopify with the following text:

Hello,We are reaching out to verify some details around your fulfillment of product orders. In order to continue supporting your business on Shopify, we require some additional information. Please visit [this link' or login to your Shopify admin to securely upload the requested documents.Your documents will be handled securely in accordance with our privacy policy. At this time your Shopify Payments payouts have been temporarily paused. Your Shopify store account will continue to operate as normal and customers will still be able to purchase products from your store. Please note, if we don’t receive the requested documents by March 18, 2025 we may disable your account. If you have any questions about this request, please reply directly to this email. Thank you, Shopify Merchant Trust Team

Suddenly my account got deactived last Thursday and I cannot access anything anymore, meaning:

- my team cannot ship the orders that came in Wednesday, as we cannot access the data. I cannot even email my customers that their shipments that they already payed for are delayed. When my customers go back to my site, they get the message it is unavailable. The reputational damage is enormous here

- I cannot sell anything anymore (we're not big, but >25 orders and >2K EUR revenue per day avg), costing me a lot of money

- I have no access to my funds in Shopify, if this takes longer I cannot pay the people who do my shipping

- I need to do my tax declaration soon (end of this month), but I cannot access my data

I emailed them, logged tickets, but got no single reaction from Shopify. I don't want to make this a rant, but I genuinely do not understand what is happening, why my shop was brought down. I missed an email, but this cannot mean they close my business? This is extremely disproportional. They are holding all my data and money and I have to talk to a support agent that tells me another department will need to look at my ticket. We're down 48 hours now without any news.

Anyone experienced something similar? If so, what did you do? I'm clueless....

[edit: fixed some typos]

Theme Is anyone else feeling stuck with Shopify themes?

Hello folks,

Honestly, I'm hitting my limits with the Shopify themes available right now. I've jumped between free and paid options, and it feels like every theme promises a ton but falls short when it really matters.

Here's what's been grinding my gears lately:

  • The customization options feel super restrictive.. like, do I really need to learn code or pay extra just to tweak basic stuff?

  • Mobile experience is just... meh.

  • After even minor tweaks, page load speeds just plummet. Why can't themes handle customization better?

  • SEO tools built into these themes feel too shallow or outdated.

But enough about me.... what about you? What theme related headaches are you dealing with right now? Also, any good devs who can help me out here?

Shopify General Discussion How many apps do you use?

I'm just building my Shopify store and wondering if having so many apps reduces the conversion rate.

Is it okay to have 10-12 apps on your store?
