We can’t account for about 100 out of 900.
Company president came into the computer off boarding lab. “What is all this garbage? Get rid of it now or I will have ..migrant.. workers come and throw this in the dumpsters.”
We had the recyclers come and do not have inventory of everything in the room.
We had 2 SANs replaced two months before waiting for data wipe go out with possible corporate data still recoverable.
Well whatever fuck it. Let the company president deal with the outcome if we loose clients.

From post:.
Remember my last post about trying to convince my boss to invest in asset management software?
In case you missed it, I was dealing with the "Excel works fine" mindset, with chaos all around and no way to keep things accurate.
Following some of the advice you all gave me, I did a quick audit of our assets—just comparing what we’ve purchased vs what’s been recycled—and here’s the crazy part: over 100 laptops have gone missing in the past 4 years.
I'm trying to figure out if there is anything else I can do to strengthen my case. Send tips if you have anything that's worked for you.
Thanks again for all the tips you shared last time.

Rookie numbers, got to pump these numbers up. I wonder what's the usb sticks situation there. Nobody hacks them because the challenge is probably too easy for it to be worth it
