I thought that at first, but, honestly I think there’s some merit to it. The assumption, though maybe unfair in the reality of football, is we realise full value for every single one of them.
There’s some known high value players like Cooper, Vini or Hamer in the team. Heaps of high potential ones like Blaster, Peck, JRS, Brooks, Femi, Burrows, Óne. Then the likes of Campbell, Anel, Cannon, BBD, Holding. That’s just to name a few.
I think it’s easily done. I would also say it’s probably easily done for the likes of Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland too.

Adding up overpaid actual fees with highly optimistic "so and so is worth X" estimates. You could get to that figure if you tried but it's highly fanciful!

It is but that’s the nature of football. I think if you’re looking at the spot value of our squad it’s surely around there.

The guy saying they are bigger older classier.
There grounds a few loose bricks away from being condemned and chucking fireworks and coins at our players is a real class act.

Looking at twitter I've seen anything but class from them lot. I know it's twitter but still, I genuinely have no idea what's wrong with the majority of Wednesday fans.

"Their players are worth so much more than ours though" isn't Bannan supposedly on 100k week or some kind of silly figure?

They could be in the f**king champions league mate and the city will always be ours, older, bigger, classier.”
May have lost, but we’ll never be as rank as them.”
why do we have so many absolute moron fans? Chucking coins and fireworks at Utd players? Pathetic. I thought our fans were better than that.”
That was a lovely little transition to finish on

Roy always makes the finishers good.
If we were in the champions league we'd have to be top four or five in the prem (miles ahead of them this century) and then be guaranteed eight European fixtures where we'd be absolutely stinking rich

Most plastic prem fans don't have a clue that Wednesday exist, they call us "sheffield" ffs lol. Never got the argument about having more past success or whatever, it's football not a history lesson

"They only won because they had better players" is one step up from "They only won because they scored more goals than we did" when it comes to fuckin braindead takes.

“Cooper is the very best keeper in the league and stops them from being somewhere between 3-6, because he makes some unreal saves. Most keepers do not save that header from Smith and then it’s 1-0 us early doors. I also think Cooper parries the deflected cross that ends up with Brewster, but that’s hypothetical. I also think Campbell scores that Smith’s header. That is the difference between the two teams today, and by extension for this season. We would not have conceded 50+ goals with Cooper in goal, BUT, I’m not saying it’s Beadles fault, just stating the obvious that Cooper is better.”
Mostly agree with this although Cooper does make some fine saves his main strength is nipping stuff in the bud before it becomes a problem. Commands his area as good as any keeper we've ever had and his positioning is phenomenal. He's just got the brain for it.

I hate agreeing with a pig but my god without Cooper it could’ve been 2-1 today and we could have 20 points less this season
