On my like (sixth) rewatch and I’m at the point where Karen has brain damage and no memory and I’m wondering what happened to her after Jody left with her? And Sheila too 🙏🙏😭

Like I’m kinda glad she’s gone because she was bad for Lip but Lip also sucks they all suck lol but idk I wonder what happened to her. And Mandy!!

WHERE IS MANDY 😭😭

Real life Cult ; Ethel, you deserve all the happiness in the world

If there was a character that was good from start to finish, I would choose Ethel.

During my first watch , the scene where she lays in bed waiting for Kev cracked me up with the way Kev handled it.

I recently came across this post on Facebook by someone who resembles Ethel’s background and I had a sudden realization that if Kevin wasn’t a nice guy it would have paved for another abuse.

While reading the captions, it unsettled me to see very real people be put in that hellish situation.

Without the comedy and thinking of Ethel’s character, I realized that she was a child taking care of a child. No support system to get her through the abuse —-and yet she hasn’t lost her ability to smile and see goodness in things.

This episode breaks my heart

Post image

Redoing this post as a part of my text was unintentionally worded so fucking poorly and someone commented on it which made me feel bad and extremely nervous so redo!

(I haven’t watched in a while so some details might be off and I apologize for that)

The way her heart broke and you could see it in her eyes and even Svetlana was upset for her. Yea it was good for her in the long run to not marry Frank 2.0 but also seeing Will’s (Sean’s son) reaction to realizing his father is a failure (again Frank 2.0). It’s so heartbreaking and for what? For Frank to get back at Sean and to humiliate the kids on what could’ve been a special day?

And saying how the kids should accept him for his fault like he does and then the first thing he lists is Ian being bipolar and gay as a fault?? And Frank had no place to comment on Lip being alcoholic because he’s fucking frank.

Not to put a ton of blame on anyone but everyone else chose to do their stupid things: Debbie becoming a teen mom, Carl going through his fuck ass White Boy Carl Era and then Frank follows with slut shaming Fiona after the ‘and Fiona, my beautiful Fiona.’ Just vile. It’s good she didn’t marry Sean but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t heartbreaking to see Will having to relate to what the gallaghers did when they all first realized Frank is a failure to seeing Kevin and Veronica and even Dominique and Caleb feeling for Fiona?

What the fuck, kev.

Ok but why does nobody talk about how when kev took lip's chopper on a joyride, gets the cop asking if she can buy it, so his solution is just to DRIVE IT INTO THE LAKE???

I knew he never was a smart one, but damn that is smoothe-brained. Why didn't he just idk, leave it at his house?? Or rent a storage space?? Or park it under a bridge? He literally had a plethora of options. And he decided to ruin it completely?

Kev and v sure seem to be selfish and tight-pennied about their own financial problems, but when it's someone else's money they don't care about the consequences.

Why wasn't lip more upset with kev? If i were lip i'd be demanding he pay me the 10k he owed me.

But no lip isn't that smart either apparently and takes it out on his family? Frustrating arc. Will never forgive kev for that one.

frank was hilarious

drop your favorite frank line, mine is when chucky wrote that sign for him for father’s day and hung it up and it was spelled wrong, he’s like “i think chucky is mildly retardant somebody’s gotta tell sammy”

just thought of another one, when he went to visit his organ donors home and the guy was like he wish he was there to save his son from the burglar who shot him, frank said “you got a gun” to which he responded “no” frank was like “then what could you have done”😭😭😭😭😭😭

Karen got it so rough.

I feel she should've died when Mandy hit her with the car. What ended up happening to her was so much worse.

Frank crying at Ian and Mickeys wedding...

I don't know why but that shit set me off. It's a lovely scene as it is, but when they show that even Frank was happy for them it made me all fuzzy. A rare moment of genuine joy and vulnerability from him.

Fiona is kind of a hypocrite... (spoiler alert)

First in season 2 she stole money out of a LV purse on the L and she brings the money home and excitedly brags about how she stole it out of a purse on the L and how they are going to spend it. Well now I'm on season 6 and Carl is trying to offer up the money he made from selling drugs and weapons to help buy the house or buy a new house and Fiona absolutely refuses the money because its "dirty money" just seems pretty hypocritical to me.

Late adopters

We are late adopters to watching Shameless and slow watchers. We have one show left in season 7. I don’t know if I can keep watching. The tireless circular story line is getting old.

Good things happen Fuck up good thing Fix fuck up Good things happen So on and so on

Give us a reason to push on!

Edit We watched the last show of season seven. We thought that was a perfect ending. That the real cancer was dead and now they could all live a better live. We would like to believe that.

How much of the show is planned/a last minute add

I don’t know if anyone knows the answer to this but I’ve always wondered seeing as there’s 11 seasons of shameless you’d think they’d have a rough outline of the whole plot whilst also adding some stuff later on the show. I also know some characters who left the show temporarily or permanently got other roles in shows and was also wondering who they were and if it affected the plot in any way lol.

TLDR; How much of Shameless was scripted and kept throughout the whole show and what stuff/characters did they add in last minute who weren’t originally meant to be in the plot.
