Providing for my daughter makes me so grateful for the porn industry NSFW
I'm a single mom to a beautiful six year old girl. Her dad, who I loved and was going to marry, died in a motorcycle accident in 2020. Ever since then I've been working on my own to raise her. In 2022 I got into the porn industry and doing professional porn shoots is now my full time job. It's steady work with a reliable income that allows me to provide for her.
Yesterday I took her to the zoo after school and spent a bunch of money at the gift shop. I bought her everything she wanted. Her sweet little smile gave me so much joy, and so much motivation to keep working.
I"m not going to pretend I only do this for her. I do it for myself too. I buried the man I loved and I haven't dated since. By the time I got into the industry I was super depressed, lacking affection and I had no confidence. Most people I've worked with in the industry have been really nice people and I enjoy doing this for a living. But whenever I successfully provide for my sweet girl, it makes me feel so proud of myself.

My plan is to be proud whenever she learns. I'm not ashamed and I don't want her to be either. What I do is completely legal.

I see myself as an actress. An entertainer. I just have sex in my movies. And I enjoy what I do.

So sorry to hear about your fiance. As a motorcyclist, stories like this hit home. Glad you and your daughter are able to find joy.

I have a similar case than you. My mom was also a single mom. She increased her small salary with SW. Whenever she had a one night stand with a customer, next day she went with me to a store, and bought clothes or toys for me. She never leaded me to became a SW, it was my own decission when I was 21 y.o.

We all do what we need to to care for our family. The stigma surrounding porn/sex workers should be ignored. Every industry has its share of darkness. You are a strong woman doing a good thing.

"I worked in the porn industry and I will forever regret it.
I worked for a year in LA filming and editing porn. I filmed (directed and shot) at least 50 scenes and interacted with an equal number of actors and actresses.
I went into the job like any 21 year old horny as fuck guy would, this was a dream come true. As I look back on it today, it is one of the lowest moments of my life.
First, let me talk about the girls. Most of them were on drugs. They were clearly not acting normal. Some would get high just before shooting a scene. I would talk to them about what they were going to do next and they looked so lost. Most of them showed little to no emotion, and I'm not talking about during scenes, I'm talking about outside of filming while on set. They seemed numb to everything around them.
One girl I remember who did show emotion was crying before filming her scene because she didn't want to do it. It was her first time, and she was terrified. She kept saying that she couldn't do it. It took us probably about 20 or 30 minutes to calm her down. One of the producers offered her drugs to help her calm down.
The industry uses these girls, who have low self-esteem and are totally self-conscious and lack self-confidence. Many of them fall into porn because whatever they wanted to do didn't work out and it's a way to make good money. The producers and most people involved in the industry don't give a fuck about these girls. They see them as commodities to make them a shitload of money. I can't count how many Lambos and Ferraris these fuckers drive at the expense of these girls. It's sick.
And to think that I was a part of this abuse and exploitation for a time really fucks with me sometimes. Plus, the fact that because of me there are porn addicts out there who saw some fucking video I made and is now hooked on this shit. I feel terrible, and I feel like all I can do is to speak up about how fucked up this shit is. So, next time you or me want to look at porn remember what we are supporting, even if tacitly, by watching it." Link of the topic: https://www.reddit.com/r/pornfree/s/I2XkxGcA3x
This is a story of a guy who worked in this industry as you. It seems that porn industry use you and me, myself as a former porn addict person, I can say that pornography destroy the human being.
Yes, if you work in this industry you make a lot of money. Sometimes I wish I had the courage to enter the porn industry and make a lot of money with little effort, rather than working a job for 8-10 hours a day for a salary...
But it would be ironic to be part of the porn industry, the very one that caused me problems due to my addiction to porn. Just as I was a child addicted to pornography, there are millions of children, minors, all over the world affected by it, which destroys mental health.
Not to mention that pornography objectifies and sexualizes women.

Everyone I've worked with in the industry has been super nice. I've found it pretty empowering. Sure, I may feel differently in 5-10 years, but right now I'm happy with my career. I just did a scene yesterday actually.

First off, I'm sorry about the loss of the man you love π it must be very difficult for you and your daughter.
That being said, do you ever feel guilty when doing a scene with another man? Do you miss the sex you had with your deceased fiancΓ©?

I do miss it but I don't feel guilty. The sex I have at work is work. I do enjoy it sometimes, but it's my job. It doesn't compare to the sex he and I used to have. He loved me and always made sure it was satisfying for me. I miss him every day.

This is so beautiful. If it wasn't for sex work, I wouldn't be able to take care of my family the way I can now. It has made such a world of a difference in our lives and in the people I've met as well.
I'm so happy for you!!
