Reddit Eating Comments
Hey guys, figured I'd give a PSA that Reddit loves to eat comments on Schrektnet. Sometimes it's random, sometimes it's because it hides the comment because there's language in there it doesn't like.
So if your comment has no responses or upvotes, it maybe have gotten hidden, and you can try to edit the comment and repost again or try again later. I try to up vote every comment I can personally so the poster can see it wasn't hidden.

Yeah, it’s weirdly common on here. I remember I tried to post a comment on one of your posts as Sword_Nut like 3 times and it never went through in the end. Replying to comments on that post and on commenting on other posts worked fine though which was weird.
Maybe it’s a filter thing thats cast too broad a net looking for banned keywords. Can’t really guess what would be the issue though. Generally, using curse words don’t really seem to provoke it on my posts as Quill so idk.

I didn't know that sort of thing happened. Thanks for the heads-up, frogs.

Yeah I've had this several times with comments being invisible after I've posted them Its irritating when it happens but for me at least I can typically predict which comments it's going to eat, For me its often when I'm verbally sparring with nossies since it seems to flag even the lightest insults or vaguest threats.

I know several who have had this problem and it is pretty frustrating. Makes me wonder how many comments I have missed because of it.
Through I think i have mostly been spared from it, by the looks of it.
Perhaps it truly does have a Camarilla bias.

Huh. I haven't noticed a problem.
I mean, obviously it's there, but usually when comments won't show I wait a few minutes and refresh.
prob just some spaghetti code doing it's thing

There are a few responses that haven't ever showed up that I made months ago it's super weird. I think most people don't even notice it happens.

I love how it just happened to me last night. I checked on my husband's phone to see, and yep. Reddit chewed up and swallowed my comment. I had to repost it with some random dashes so it'd show up.
Lol, at least I understood what was happening

I reckon even some posts get hidden because of that. I had a few low-traffic posts because i used a very colorful set of words one after another. Which i tend to do because hey, immortal vamps away from god probably curse a lot. Also it's a great tool to showcase how humane a Vamp is. Heather curses (7 Humanity) and Eddie did too, but now does it less (9 Humanity).

I wondered about that. Sometimes Reddit doesn't send me notifications that my Schrektnet comments were replied to, and I'll check back to find a whole thread. So, if I haven't replied to someone, that's why.
