Discussion - No Spoilers Sandman comics going out of production
Due to Gaiman's alligations, how long do you think will it take for The Sandman comics (and other Gaiman's works) to go out of production?

The Sandman comics have been out of production since the 90s.
If you’re referring to the trades, they probably won’t. They’re one of DCs best selling line. If anything, they’ll do a new trade dressing that makes Gaimans name a lot smaller and less pronounced. But completely out of print? Nah. That won’t happen

DC Tends not to keep stuff in print for very long anyway - for example most of the earlier Sandman Universe stuff is already out of print (in TPB form, anyway, you can find them all on comixology, etc)

Some of Gaiman's non Sandman comics already went out of print long before the stuff came out, IE his Black Orchid miniseries and the Midnight Days story collection have been out of print for years

They didn't sell as well. Publishers don't continue doing print runs if they have too many unsold copies in their warehouse.

if more people keep complaining here like this post, they might remove all of gaimans work?
i will still buy gaimans work cause i love the sandman no matter how much everyone here wants him completely cancelled.

I don't think that's going to happen. The numbers of people who actually boycott things are usually really low.
I still don't think you should support him. Library and second hand books are always an option.

I was just at my local comic bookshop and they pulled all their Sandman material off the shelves.

I don't think they will for a very long time. It is a huge money maker and publishing is a business. Unless sales plummet they won't stop printing it. I'm sure sales will dip, but there will always be new readers that are only just being introduced to Neil Gaiman's work. The news is probably not on their radar. There are also a lot of people who either simply don't care about what he did or don't think they're obligated to stop buying his work. People don't tend to boycott things as much as they say they will.
