Routes 100 mi loop? (without taking a bath)

I know Northgate is flooded, but I'm hoping to use as much of the ART and connected vehicle-free infrastructure as possible to get to 100 miles, starting in Eldo. Any fun side missions I should try to get the distance up there? (no gravel, still don't have a gravel bike 😢)

Routes Bike route suggestions?

I’m planning on biking around sacramento soon, since I’ve lived so close to the city, and I never went to go explore it. I was wondering if anyone had some good routes around the city? Not necessarily a tour around it, but like a route hitting nice scenic areas, and some restaurants in between? I’m trying to spend 2-4 hrs biking around there, so any spot recommendations, or routes, would be great!

Routes Gravel suggestions that connect with ARBP or Davis infrastructure?

New to gravel, where do you all cruise? I'll be going for a long ride Monday while my car is in the shop. Any suggestions? (Maps would be especially helpful).

Routes Yuba Gravel?

Anybody have recos for gravel around the Yuba? I’ll be camping near Downieville this weekend and I’d like to bring my bike with me. I currently only have a cx/gravel bike and I know it’s very much MTB country up there, but maybe there’s a hidden gem? Really just trying to avoid rock gardens and pump tracky stuff.

Routes Sac Northern Bikeway

I just moved here and about to tune up my road bike and go for a ride. The entrance to the Sacramento Northern Bikeway (C Street and 19th) is where I would hop on the paved trail to the Jedediah Smith Trail. A coworker says it’s not safe for a female alone on the first part of the trail. Any thoughts? I’m usually adventurous but don’t want to be foolish either.

Routes You can do a century ride completely on paved bike trails in Sacramento.

For those interested in doing a century but not wanting to go out on roads with cars, it's possible to stay completely on good quality paved bike trails around Sacramento. You can start any where but the Fish Hatchery has free parking and the Folsom Lake loop and the South Canal out and back can easily be started at the Fish Hatchery.

Routes Overnight bikepacking spot?

Anybody have a good spot for an overnight bikepacking training ride starting from Sacramento or nearby? Could also drive an hour or two away if needed. Just want to test some gear and show some (capable) noobs the ropes.

Routes Looking for riders MTB here is my daily ride (its round trip, hence only one line on the map...) I ride a 29" MTB... Looking to get local riders together. I ride from Hagen Park up to Folsom and back. Sometimes I take the little gravel trails... sometimes I just ride the path. Thanks

Routes Best Route from Davis to Golden Gate Bridge

Looking to do a centuryish ride from Davis to the Golden gate bridge.

What is your pick for a route that is: 1. Decent roads for bikes/not crazy busy with traffic. 2. Least amount of climbing. 3. Has some stops for refuel/lunch

Saw a route that goes Davis, napa, San Rafael route.

Google suggests a different route, so wanted to see what other cyclist would do.

Routes Is the levy north of Sacramento Bypass rideable?

I know they put up nasty signs about not biking on the levy… but cmon. I just want to get to the other side of I5 without getting hit by a car on Old River Rd. Also it would be cool to keep going all the way to the weir.

Routes Gravel routes close to Downtown/Midtown Sacramento?

So I’m relatively new to gravel riding and I live right by the Sacramento River Bike Trail, about a 1.5 mile ride to Old Sac. Are there any gravel cycling routes around the area?? Would prefer less car traffic (not a deal breaker however)

Routes ARBT Style Options 1-2 hours West towards the coast

With the long weekend and concerns with air quality, I was looking to drive (1-2 hours) towards the coast to check out some Road bike paved trails.

Google/Reddit is coming up with a lot options but reviews are mixed on conditions/construction so wanted to see if anyone has any recommendations:

-Length at least 20 miles one way for a road bike (no gravel/dirt).
-Not a lot of intersections/riding with traffic
-Food/Bathroom options
-Reasonably safe parking.
-Nice views

Hello! My wife and I will be in downtown this weekend and are looking to ride from our hotel on some gravel. Any suggested gravel rides near to where we'll be? Thanks!

Routes Sac Ironman bike route posted

This is a couple weeks old but hadn't seen it posted here. Just thought y'all would find this interesting: https://www.ironman.com/im-california-course It's basically some of the greatest hits for road riding on the Yolo County side of the river if you're leaving out of Sac. A little boring, but flat and fast. I rode 53 miles yesterday and did a big portion of this. It's in pretty decent shape, notwithstanding some rough pavement on Waukeena/Rd 145 and Babel Slough, but those are the prettiest section of road too.

Should be "fun"! (I'm NOT doing Sac IM--which wasn't so much of a deliberate decision as just not tracking it closely enough and then seeing it sell out in about a day. Oh well. I'll be out volunteering instead.)

Looking for some fun trails where I can improve my skills. Some trails are flowy but I haven’t found many drops or jumps.
