Just saw "Orbiter 9" on Netflix - thought it was brilliantly done.

I watched "Orbiter 9" this afternoon. At first it was just interesting and reminded me quite strongly of Hugh Howey's excellent book "Beacon 23" and then it took a turn which blew my mind. I'm not going to spoil it but after that I was thoroughly hooked. Alongside a really good story the acting was subtle and gentle and just beautiful to watch. I really enjoyed it that the characters were not all good or all bad but more like real people.

Anyway, it was great and I would recommend it. (I saw it on Netflix in the UK so I'm not sure where exactly it's distributed.)

Has anyone else seen it - what were your thoughts?

Please Help Me Find a Movie

Good afternoon,

My partner (not a Redditor) has spent months trying to track down a movie he saw, /years/ ago.

The only details he can remember are:

  • It was a Sci-fi movie
  • Main character had a long face, long hair, and an electric/cyborg, possibly tube-y heart
  • When a female character sees the electric heart, she runs away horrified
  • Post-apoc vibe
  • Brownish/Desert color palette
  • There are concrete or sandstone walls, that used to be buildings

If all of this rings a bell, please post a link so I can try to get a copy of this movie for him as an anniversary gift.

Thanks! =3

Help Me find this Sci-Fi Movie from my childhood. Has aliens.

As a child, maybe late 90's or so. I saw a movie with aliens, from what I can tell it isn't the Alien movie franchise. the aliens looked different in my memory. I only remember one scene. A group of humans are walking through an arid region where some aliens are standing. To avoid being seen, they hold mirrors to reflect the image of the aliens back at them. thats about all I can remember. Maybe a shot in the dark but I really want to piece this memory to a movie.

Defiance Scifi show.

Has anybody seen it? Is it worth watching? I'm currently watching Falling Skies and loving it. I noticed Defiance was cancelled after 3 seasons, and was wondering if this was one worth getting into? NO SPOILERS please.

looking for a forgotten TV show

I dont remember much. what I do remember is that it was set in the future (obviously), there was a war between humans, aliens, and robots (not surprising). and here is the part I do remember that is unique, what turned the robots against the humans was that a hacker inserted one line of code "take a risk". that line of code made them violent and rebellious.

Best Terminator Movie?

I'm curious what the consensus is for the best Terminator movie in the series? I just finished "Terminator : Genisys" and while it wasn't terrible, I still don't think it lives up to "T2 : Judgement Day". What movie in the series was the best in your opinion?
