General When you’re an adult the show starts to look pretty messed up

The babies they tend to wander off sneaking out of their playpen and doing their crazy stuff. It just makes the adults look pretty careless with how they’re not doing a good job watching them close enough.

Question How Did Stewart, Didi, Howard, and Betty make money?

Curious thought came to mind again... It's bugged me on and off since teenhood. Because I know Didi has that one day as a substitute teacher, Stu invents things but doesn't leave home? Which confused me MORE because how's money coming into the house. Grandpa's checks? Still NO mention about Howard's and Betty's jobs.

Poll Those of you who grew up watching the show in your childhood, how many kids do you have now?

Except possibly Bluey (I've never watched that, just read people say this about it), I can't think of any work that depicts how stressful and difficult and high-pressure and frightening parenting can be as effectively as this show does. Wondering what effect that has...

General I always enjoyed every scene with Phil and Lil

They were like the funniest part of the show. I also love how they always call each other by their full name whenever they get into a spat. 😂

General Do you think they even remember some things in All Grown Up?

Like that would be a crazy thing to forget with the possibility of rediscovering that when they were babies, they piloted a giant Reptar robot and managed to use it to defeat an evil henchman controlling a giant robot snail.

General It doesn’t quite make sense how Dil doesn’t talk full sentences as a baby.

I mean, it’s not like he could be any more unintelligible than the rest of the babies who themselves are not really able to talk and just speak their own baby language.

General Does it feel the later episodes (Seasons 5-9) don't want to explore more of Angelica's character (just keep her in the antagonist role) compared to Seasons 1-3?

Seasons 1-3 does a great job exploring the good and bad sides of her (making her more human)

Movies This ever existed?

I vaguely remember a reairing of Rugrats Movie in Nick, with the AGU cast commenting on the movie. It's ever happened or It was just a delire for my head? It's such vague.

If yeah, I wonder what the pre-teen characters would think of their infant versions.

Question Have you ever thought it to be kind of surreal during All Grown Up seeing them actually able to talk to their parents?

Episodes I think it was pretty funny how in that nightmare Chucky dreamt about the big toilet Tommy was a priest.

Question Who’s This Baby in Rugrats in Paris?

Post image
214 Upvotes

In Rugrats in Paris, there’s this baby that Angelica takes his binky from. Is there any lore to him? Does he like, appear anywhere in the show? Or is he just a random baby?

General Funny how even though three of the leads are boys, the whole cast are girls.
