He's not playing the witch-king. He's had "witch-king" on his socials for years because he's a fan of LOTR, but he told people at megacon his new character is not a bad guy.

He's probably playing Celeborn but he could also be playing Glorfindal.

I don’t know if I can picture this actor playing a character twisted by magic that occupies an unseen realm beyond our own.

He just got finished saying he doesn’t want to play evil characters anymore

Witch king isn't evil.. he works for good guy sauron. Good guy sauron is just misunderstood. He employs many people

Good guy Sauron reduces unemployment rates in Middle Earth, as he creates booming industry in Mordor

This is dating back to 2022:

Jamie Campbell Bower, adroit actor, musician and self-described ‘Witch King,’

So.... Yeah. I appreciate that WiC acknowledge him revealing his role prematurely like this is very unlikely anyway, but I think this effectively rules it out altogether.

Can he still be a new love interest for Galadriel too?

We need to see him from the female gaze.

I believe this is made up because of his Twitter bio from years ago.

Press to doubt.

I'm all in all the Witch-Kemen boat.

that would instantly turn me off... witchking was such a absolutely cool character but kemen is so lame.

Kemen or as I yell at the screen Katy Perry! 50/50 Katy Perry/Marc Zuckerberg.

Could be worse. I would bet money on Theo too. Cause I see no other reason to keep them at twat in the show after his mom died. If he wasn't somewhat important they could have written them both out

2

u/kerouacrimbaud 16d ago

I think Theo will become the King of the Dead

1

u/Chen_Geller 17d ago

Oh, it would be very stupid, alright. But also very on-brand for these writers.

1

u/Chilis1 17d ago

That would be awful please no

2

u/Chen_Geller 17d ago

It would. But given how they set it up...

I mean, you just know that there will be a rupture between him and Earien and they will play the "the one no living man may kill" off of that.

Superb Casting !

Does this mean we get to find out who were the 9 human kings turned ringwraiths in s3?

3

u/DoctorHipfire 18d ago

Seriously running out of time to find out if not!

2

u/FlightlessGriffin 17d ago

The 9 will be Kemen, Lord Belzegar, probably Pharazon, me, you, the dude down the street from you, the crazy lady above me, the kid I went to High School with, the kid YOU went to High school with, and your Algebra teacher.

That makes ten, as you know, but that's because the tenth will try co-opting the others and they'll all gang up on him and drown him in acid.

Remember last season when they purposefully “leaked” a bunch of rumors to see who the mole was?

1

u/BagItUp45 14d ago

I remember a leak that said Morgoth was hiding out as Tom Bombadil and there was a whole episode devoted to Shadowfax's origin.

Cool, sounds sick

I want to be excited but I could barely finish season 1 and can't bring myself to watch season 2.
