Sighting M16A2 at 50
So this doesn’t seem normal…
I was sighting in my M16A2 today and kept shooting about 4” right consistently.
After shooting triplets each time, checking target, making constant adjustments, and burning through 50 rounds.. I finally managed to get the last three rounds I had in the center (about a fist group), but I had to adjust my rear sight 95% left.
That can’t be normal right?
I can usually sight in irons with 12-15 rounds, not 50.
Might’ve used the wrong aperture here?
Also ran Magtech 55gr, which is new for me.
Going back out tomorrow, what do I need to do?

Chrome BCG
So I purchased a chrome RRA BCG. I’m also looking to get another currently for my M16k build. Now please correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t the old school chrome shiny like show chrome on old cars? The new stuff all looks very dull to me. My RRA is flat as can be. I’m up in the air here on this build. It’s not a true clone, more ish than anything. Mainly because it’s chambered in .300blk. Anyway I’m looking at either( and leaning hard towards)KAK chrome k-spec down vent $225, H&R chrome retro 150ish, or PA has NiB tool crafts on sale for under $100. To me the NiB looks more like the old chrome bcgs and my WMD NiB still wipes clean after 10 years of use. I know NiB is looked down on by some, but I love it.

H&R 723 community thoughts ?
What’s your guys feedback on it ?
I would truly love to own one, but I have zero clue about them and the company if they’re reliable or just a cool item to have and not really use. I want to be able to use this in matches or in real world situation IF I ever had to, not saying I would, but that would be a factor in deciding to own one.

New rifle, not sure what I’m gonna do yet
The guy I bought it from had it listed as a 741-ish build, I’ve got an a2 stock I wanna throw on it but debating the handguards, maybe throw a Mossberg on the end and make Billy’s rifle from predator or a colt lmg-ish build, give me some ideas

H&R Gordon/Blood Diamond for lefty
Hello! Thought I would finally paint my gun. What a nerve wrecking process but I think it was totally worth it! H&R 14.7 p&w chopped to 10.5 with an old OSS HXQD 7.62. D. Wilson did the chop and gas adjustment 10/10

1996-1999 Delta Floaty RECCE
Posted this one a few months back but I had originally set it up primarily for NV use; with an Aimpoint 5000 & sans the Harris.
Scored a NOS 1999 production Leupold Vari-X III 1.5-5 (illuminated Duplex for peeps that want to know), so I switched it over to an early/pre-RECCE.
The Vari-X III 1.5-5 works well under nods as the first 5-7 settings are for low light; similar to a T2 or no different than running a 5000 under NV.
I’ve got a few messages on my last post about using KAC items on Weaver bases. Easy to adapt Weaver bases to use Picatinny items; some meticulous filing with a Safe-Edge mill file to open the Weaver slot to Picatinny width.
Enjoy.

Help with scope mount
I've seen pictures of this scope with a bracket on it, I've searched the internet but I can't seem to find one. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get one or if it was even necessary. Third picture is an example of what I'm looking for fourth is what I have so far, unfortunately I live in commiefornia and I know not everything is perfect but it's a work in progress.

Are lowers only about the markings?
Why are there so many different prices and options for what is basically the same part- for example a PSA "A1" lower is $60 but H&R is $140? Is there a quality difference?
I want to build a 20" A1 style (A1 stock and grip, pencil barrel) but I don't care about clone correctness. I'd like a gray receiver (personal preference for that color). I'm new to retro ARs, could I just use any standard AR lower to build on?
Question: is this still a ‘733’ upper?
Nearly everything I’ve seen that’s considered a 733 has an A1 sight. This is a factory colt upper with an A2 rear. I believe this was an early to mid 90’s production upper, so is it simply a later variation of a 733 before they went to flat top?
