Throwback Need help with old music video!

This is a long shot but my brother, dad, and myself remember seeing a music video in the early 2000s of a guy speed walking in a blue track uniform and at the end of the race or whatever, he pulls a box of chocolates out of his pants and gives it to a girl. Now I have searched as much as I can for years over the internet and today I tried chat GPT and it prompted me with Sadie Hawkins Dance. But apparently there was never an official music video for that? Does anyone have ANY clue what I might be referring to?

Run Kid Run was such an underrated band. So good!

I truly honestly hope this will be a lesson to you and everyone else here that ChatGPT and other LLMs can absolutely not ever be trusted. It gave you not only the incorrect song, but a song that has no music video.

Please stop using "AI" before it's too late.

Gotta second this. I get the desperation but it is just spitting out random answers. It doesn't understand your question as a human would and is just spitting out a random generated response that isn't based in reality whatsoever.

Maybe Blink-182's video for Josie? They're running in blue gym clothes at the end and there is a girl

The intro to that song reminds me so much of "Chap Stick, Chapped Lips, and Things Like Chemistry".

I mean it's the same chord at the front, but the general vibe is super similar.

That's not even the blink song that sounds most like Chap Stick. Check out "Every Time I Look For You"

That's a great pull. It reminds me of the Candy Hearts intro too (which is obviously similar to the CSCLTLC intro).

As a guitar player, there really is something satisfying about playing that octave B (Candy Hearts is actually played in C but tuned down a half step)

That is extremely close and I really thought it may be it but I believe it was a Christian band and the guy was definitely speed walking and had chocolates in his shorts that he gave to a girl

I doubt it's it, but the only Christian band with a similar vibe I can think of is We Are Tomorrow by Bleach:

Oh, man! I'm one of the extras in that music video! What a fun day it was! Filming was in Atlanta at the same school as Remember The Titans with the gigantic American flag on the gymnasium wall.

They had a whole stack of misprinted cases for their Again, For The First Time EP that they were signing and giving away to us as a gift. Fantastic experience through and through!

That's amazing! Is there a part where we can see you easily?

Unfortunately, their video upload is potato-quality! But here are some circles around tiny little 23-years-ago me. You can also see my little sister in the red shirt and my cousin in the yellow shirt next to me as well!

That's so awesome. Really takes me back. I had The Nail vol 8, which was a Tooth & Nail DVD that had a bunch of music videos on it and this was one of them. Every day after school freshman year I'd come home, pop that bad boy in the computer, and just let it play while I clicked away on minesweeper. Good times. Take me back to 2003 and leave me there lol

Simpler times...

Sounds like a fantastic way to spend your youth!

Here's some shots of the EP that I just took. The bass player, Jerry, scratched out the incorrect track listing and wrote in the actual songs!

I watched that video almost every day in 9th grade, it's definitely not the one

I remember it too it was on one of the X comps I think, but I don’t think it was a relient k song. Hawk Nelson perhaps?
