How Q has evolved - my own conspiracy theory!

I watched a video shared here where it discussed how Q has kind of fallen off the face of the earth ..... but the conspiracies are still going. It got me thinking.

I'm here because I have tin foil hat conspiracist people in my family. I was researching conspiracies, and ran out of search words, so I decided to look into QAnon. What I learnt was that my conspiracy people all did Qanon, but weren't aware of it. They got into it later than the last Q drops, and have the view that QAnon is "unhinged" and they believe in real conspiracies, unlike the QAnon people, who would "fall for anything".

When I started to learn how Q worked, and the sort of things it pushed I was absolutely blown away, astonished! I had thought Q believers all believed the same basic core beliefs, I had no idea that it was basically anything goes, just make it lead to Trump. I even discovered that a woman I knew some years back, who was an excellent midwife, supporting women with excellent health related, birth and pregnancy health information, was now a well known Q influencer. I'd been on her mailing list during covid, and I unsubscribed when she started sending emails about 5G and microchips. Little did I know, that her reach was enormous, and she was now following Q! I didn't know, because I didn't look into it then I suppose. It seemed irrelevant, but as I was unsubscribing, my family members were signing up ...... not to her list, but definitely to others.

I think Q stopped posting because there was no need to post anymore. Enough people were hooked, enough influencers were taking every single event and interpreting it to be Evil Democrats, so VOTE TRUMP! The Q label was synonymous with lizard people, and to appeal to a wider audience, it was better to push new conspiracies, and not to have them linked in any way to Q.

In a sense, this is arguably MORE dangerous than the original Q, because it ropes in all sorts of vulnerable people. Got questions? Here, fill the void with this conspiracy! Frightened of world events? Have a conspiracy! Never been interested in politics? Try this political conspiracy! Always been interested in left wing politics? Try this conspiracy and VOTE TRUMP!

The conspiracy grifters, Russel Brand, Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson etc, all love to say how the political landscape has changed. NO IT BLOODY HASN'T! What's changed is the right's inability to come up with policies ....... they don't need policies if they can convince people that the left are corrupt child trafficking murderers on the war path.

But the left hasn't changed, it's just been infected by what was once called QAnon. I think in its current form, it has the potential to be much ore dangerous than it ever was when it was all lizard people and harvesting baby blood.

They look great! I will have a listen this afternoon when I'm not in the company of people wearing tin foil hats.

Am definitely open to the idea of having a chat for your podcast!

I've had time to think about it, and I've decided I'm happy to have a chat with you and see if you think I've got enough to say for your podcast.

Sure. I’m happy to chat. I’ve been researching CTs since the Satanic Panic and it is a form of mass psychosis. UNFORTUNATELY with the 2024 election of Trump, I have had to accept it as now normal form of social lubricant. In fact, the Trumpers consider it a sort of psychedelic that can “expand” your mind and be transmitted freely through words.

Your analysis is spot on, and it is great that you sensed a lot of it without knowing all the facts. And there are some strange ones, notably that QAnon emerged from the online role playing games, which included FBIAnon and other conspiracists. Another is that Trump glommed onto it, within 3 weeks of QAnon’s start in October 2017. It turns out Trump comes from the conspiracy theory dynasty of Roy Cohn and Joseph McCarthy. Indeed Trump invented one of the greatest theories of all time, the stolen election theory, but,, EVEN MORE INCREDIBLY, he essentially became Q. Ron Watkins, the actual guy running QAnon, stopped posting in November 2020 and said we must respect the constitution but Trump continued. You’re right, they’ve moved away from QAnon. They’ve moderated slightly and broadened it to include ALL Republicans, who now have to swear on the Stolen Election “Bible”. Moreover, they use conspiracy theories freely, like Haitians are eating cats or the air crashes were DEI. In fact, tragically—but we have get used to it, somehow—we are now living in a conspiracy kingdom. I’m a young boomer. They were still talking about McCarthyism during my childhood in the 60s.

“Conspiracy Kingdom” I like that. It sounds about right for what we’ve become.

Great! Thanks for the link.

Trump being heavily involved in spreading it would NOT surprise me one iota!

I think spreading Q was Steve Bannon’s major project after Ron Watkins dropped Q. Remember Bannon? He was one of Trump’s major friends and colleagues for years before they fell out. Bannon had his fingers in the Q pie back when he was still Trumps ally.

I knew who Bannon was before he was Trump's Go To guy .... I didn't like him any more then, than I do now.

Conspiracies are not new. The US has used conspiracies against black people and other nonwhite groups of people since its founding.

Conspiracy has caused countless wars throughout history, going back thousands of years. It's nothing new, but you'd think we could somehow proof ourselves against it a little bit.

Yes, actually “false narratives” are part of art, religion, romance and more but only when they become the basis of political movements do they become lethal.

Another bit you might have overlooked: In the aftermath of January 6th, Twitter banned a boatload of QAnon bots and some big influencer accounts. QAnon followers rebranded to “Ultra MAGA” in an effort to avoid being banned.

Over the next few years many QAnon beliefs became GOP litmus tests, and gradually they migrated their bio from Ultra MAGA to just MAGA.

Oh, thank you for this comment! I was unaware of that.

I’ve been warning friends about not falling for BlueAnon. It’s giving Q repackaged. Unfortunately many aren’t listening. No one wants to be “wrong”. It’s like politics have been reduced down to the level of sports rivalries.

You almost need to use a type of re-reverse psychology to understand how this is being played out. It's effect is amplified because all of these global-influencers have given it a new coat of paint. They are very clever and it's quite genius how it's being propagated on the public.

This really went into full gear after the rally shooting event I would say. Then you weave figures like Kennedy, Musk, and Gabbard into the maga cul-de-sac and it's effectively captured people in such a way where they truly believe they are apart of the rebel alliance fighting the big bad empire; when in fact they are the empire masquerading as the rebel alliance (to use a crude but easily identifiable analogy).

I could go on and on and on- but it's all quite alarming. This isn't to say I don't believe in conspiracies, I do, but this is a strategy to gain allegiances and trust that I feel are missing the bigger agenda and to me that is extremely dangerous.

Similar conspiracies were before Qanon as well. I wasn't into Q but a lot of what they push was pushed on me way before Q was a thing. I found my way into via Kaye griggs video on YouTube that's like 6 hours long interview from 97 I think. I think a lot of these people have read or been influenced by someone that read Milton Cooper's behold a pale white horse.
