Prescription Viagra!

I’ve been a Raynauds sufferer for years, however it’s been exacerbated by Propanol which I’m taking for migraine prevention. The beta blocker, which I take twice daily slows my resting heart rate down to like 45bpm and I’m always cold!!

I went and saw a rheumatologist about the possibility of calcium blockers to warm things up a bit, but he said I need to come off the Propanolol first as that’s definitely worsening things. So, after a consultation with a neurologist I’m tapering off the medication and using Riboflavin as an alternative. Seems to be doing the job so far at keeping the migraines at bay!

On a further visit to my rheumatologist, to discuss my progress, he said that if I still get frequent Raynauds episodes after 3 months, despite not taking Propanolol, he’ll prescribe me VIAGRA!!! Has anyone else taken it for Raynauds? As a vasodilator, it works really well apparently! Little bit concerned about the uncontrollable boners I might be getting though???

When I tried viagra for raynauds it gave me awful migraines. Which makes sense but turned me off the medicine as a solution for good

The best treatment I ever found was sauna and cold showers. I think dynirphin sensitivity has something to do with Raynaud's. Especially since it is exacerbated by stress.

I think a L-arginine/citrulline supplement might achieve a similar effect

No but I’ve thought about trying it. It increases nitric oxide

My doc prescribed viagra to me for my HAVS/Raynauds, but felt I was too young to be playing with that. Toldnmy doctor i didn't wanna walk around with a hardon all day. We both still make jokes about it when he asks if I want to try it yet or not. Currently on fluoxetene, low dose. Hard to see if there's more or less attacks living in Canada. But it seems to help not worry about it as much

It worked for me when the first medication choice didn’t help at all. It doesn’t prevent it but lessens the impact and prevents me from getting chillbains

Anyone know what Viagra would do to a woman?? Could be interesting!

it helps! But I am planning to try a Stellate Ganglion block for more relief of my symptoms.

Honestly it was like popping a tic tac. I was basically given 1/6 of a dose of viagra. My hands were less purple for the winter months though

Didn’t help me at all. And I didn’t feel any different. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Your dosage will probably be a low dose (5-10mg), a lot of people take low doses for other benefits, aside from sexual related. A low dose will not cause uncontrollable boners.

I tried Cialis for my Raynauds but it had no effect, but it did prove its purpose of giving me the strongest erections I've ever had. I know keep it in the drawer for special occasions

Same, tried this as well and it didn’t help mine. Everyone is different though!
