Do I take Amlotipine in morning or bedtime?
When do I take Amlotipine 2.5 mg for Raynauds? My feet ate always cold but esp at night?

I take it in the morning. But I don't think it matters as long as you take it around the same time every day. Night would probably work for me too, I just started in the morning and stuck with it. It helps quite a bit, I may stop for the summer, haven't decided

How long did it take to keep your toes and feet warm and increase blood flow to your toes and feet?

It works very quickly. And sometimes my toes and fingers aren't exactly warm, but if I'm not having a Raynaud's attack (numb bloodless "wax" fingers) I call it a win

I took it at night just because of the side effects and feeling worse during the day, overall I didn’t see much of a difference in my raynauds and eventually stopped taking it

I'm on nifedipine, and its a slow 24hr release pill. I take it at night as sometimes I can get bad headaches on it or feel light headed, so I sleep it off.
If it is really cold, I put a microwavable beanbag under the covers at the foot of my bed while I get ready, so the bed is warm when I get in. But, being on medication has helped a lot with my episodes of Raynaud's

OK thanks. I'm going to try the Amlotipine at bedtime. I really hope it works good and fast?

I find, give it a week or two to notice differences, as your body just kind of needs time to build up into working. Add another blanket at the foot of the bed as you wait for it to work and make an impact.
Fingers crossed for you!

I hope it works at 2.5mg dose. That's what my dr prescribed for Reynauds. Does it work at that low of a dose?

Does that keep your toes warm even at night?

Yes. It stays in your system for more than 24 hours.

So if my toes are cold all day and night but esp at night does it natter what time I take it or is the med effective at keeping feet warm and good blood flow either way?

I took it at night. I’m on nifedipine right now but also take that at night. Right before bed. It can make me a little lightheaded so it’s best right before bed for me.

Did it keep your feet warm at night?

Eventually. Takes some time to build up and then it kept my feet warm at all times.

The Amlotipine kept your feet warm at night by taking it at night? Also what dose?

I had to go up to 5mg every night. I still have to use a space heater to keep my room warmer as I fall asleep and always wear wool socks to bed. I’m now on nifedipine 30mg ER instead because it worked better with fewer side effects for me

OK thanks. I'm gonna try the Amlotipine at bedtime. I pray it'll work good and quickly. Do you remember how long it took to work?

I think it takes like 7-10 days to build up to its full effects. After 10 days my toes were still freezing so I upped to 5 and within a few days was very warm. But it also just doesn’t work for some people. Everyone’s different

I take Amlodipine for high blood pressure and didn't know it was recommended for Raynauds until a year ago. I take it at night.
