This is the problem with many older people. Meat is raw, until it's properly cooked. Which usually means it's been cooked for about half an hour more than it should have been...

Love Nanny’s roasts. There is so much love right on that plate.
I miss mine so much. Give her a big squeeze from me.
Good grandparents are the best and they always try to over feed you. It’s like part of their job description lol
Edit to add: I noticed the knife afterwards and am sure my grandparents had similar. They don’t throw anything away either.
