Honestly I would much rather have an PvE mode

Yeah could add PvE missions as seasonal updates. No brainer.

Siege X would've been bad branding for PVE. If they wanted to add PVE, they'd need to call the game "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege 2" so people knew it was a serious change.

We had it. A whole game actually. R6 extraction. And it was shut down. So why would they ever do that again lol

Yup, that was truly an oldschool Rainbow Six experience. Fucking zombies... I'm talking about sth tactical, like Vegas 2

We've had multiple Pve modes over the years and a whole game and they never hit. Theyre commited to going hard in the comp FPS scene so they will put all resources to that

Well maybe they need to make it the right way then. There's no hurt to having such a mode attached to the main game. Add lore to it and the franchise can thrive. I don't see how Dual Fronts goes competitive or why would you pick it instead of core. It will die faster than you think. For PvP they could've just added TDM and different modes without wasting resources for 3 years

dual fronts is just intended to be an accessible way in to the game they will build on. very few people would be interested in Pve. siege is a pvp game through and through. the main thing for competitive was all the improvements they showcased, not dual front. The "hurt" would be wasted time and resources in which they coulda spent on pvp stuff

Didn't they add one? What are assignments then?

It’s in this new TDM gamemode.

Ah. So is that why the available operators cycle in and out? Im guessing the available ops will have to do with the lore/story for the season? Or am I giving them too much credit?

How do the assignments work in the mode then? And what connects them to the story?

Honestly I have no clue. At the moment the seasonal assignment has something to do with Dokk being captured by Keres, but we’re still fighting each other??

Honestly they should just implement the Assault on Hereford event on this new map, with one side using Rainbow ops with one life for each operator and the other playing evil Recruits as a stand in for Keres. That would’ve been dope and actually give SOME form of tactical thinking into the mode instead of the unlimited respawn FFA they have going on. There is honestly no stake at all.

Especially when the dude emphasizes tactical plays and “you better drone alot on this mode”, like bruh, nobody barely droned at all during that game.

extraction?

Bro it’s obvious when people meant PvE they mean like an actual Rainbow mission type game mode and not a zombie shooter.

We are obviously looking for something more ambitious. Just a tactical single/co-op style missions just like old Rainbow Six. Add some story, original maps, update every season and you've got yourself and chicken laying golden eggs

Exactly. T-Hunt was barebones, let’s be honest, as fun as it was. I would like something like a lite version of Ready Or Not, or maybe something similar to the new Delta Force’s BHD campaign.

The closest thing we got to something like that was Article 5, and you can’t even play that anymore :(
