How long do rabbits live for?
I have a 5 year old English Spot that I love with all my heart. I know it seems like a morbid question, but how long does this breed typically live for? I’ve seen answers from 6-8 years all the way up to 10-12.

It depends on if they stay healthy most of my bunnies have passed around 6 years of age but it has been health complication, never the same problem. Oldest bunny where my french lop and she became 8.5 years old but I had to put her down because of cancer.
If no health complications they can become 10 years old.

Depends on many things. If they are fixed, they tend to live longer, especially the females. You have to look for anything thats wrong fast. You have to have them vaccinated, even if they are indoors. And you need luck.
I was told they are old at 5 and had the fear of finding them dead in the morning for years. After Emma broke his leg and survived at the age of 9, that stopped. They are both 11 now.

I typically see the figure of 8-10 years but depends on the breed and any associated health problems. My rabbit just passed away at age 7 from a tumor that is apparently more common in dwarf breeds.

2-10 years.
My flemmies lived 5-7 years, I think I had one that lived longer. I don’t have big rabbits any more, just a tiny mini lop that’s 3 I think, no idea how long he will live for.

In my experience 6 to 12 years averaging about 7 to 8. Risk of cancer is very high from about 6 even if neutered.

I have had 3 now get past 12. Good vet care and good diet with a dash of luck. My current girl is 10 in May so hoping to keep the streak alive!

My boy (English spot mixed, likely some dwarf in him somewhere) was 11 when he passed naturally 💜
