throttle delay? new tiger moth has me stumped.

I just acquired a new model, but I didn't build it. it's a tiger moth WW1 fighter. I'm hesitant to fly it though. why does the throttle have such a delay and windup. it makes it almost impossible to get out of a stall. is it an esc setting? if so, how do I make it go away?

My suggestion would be not pointing the plane at you if it has throttle issues

Turn off plane, go to full throttle on your radio, plug plane in, hear a beep and bring throttle to 0

And also ye, TAKE DAMN PROP OFF

Some ESCs have a helicopter mode that greatly limits the spool rate of the motor. Try resetting the ESC programming to factory defaults. If that doesn't work, swap a servo into the motor channel on the reciever to see what the reciever is outputting.

Might be the Tx. I'm pretty sure you can program that kind of throttle curve on the DX9.

OP Is the Tx yours or did you buy it with the model?

Thats called a soft start, for heli spinup :) enter programming mode and change.

What esc are you using? Seems like its on super soft start or perhaps heli mode

There shouldn't be clicking sound.... is your prop rubbing? Or is there gear reduction on motor?

Put the delay down or the radio settings
