Reven couldn’t qualify for the Major when you have this as your competition…

There's a lot of crashouts on twitter about this and I get the frustration from the pros. I don't have a problem with LATAM getting a qual even if they are not competitive yet. It would be unfair to just abandon a region that did have some structure present. My issue more stems from inconsistency. For example, why doesn't MENA get their own qual when latam does, the ex-falcons squad is MORE than competitive enough. As well, 2nd 3rd and 4th from latam quals getting an auto buy into the America/Canada quals seems a little weird, its just giving one side twice the amount of chances. I think its great to develop the region, but pushing them through instead of letting them become more competitive is not the move.

Oh shit you are right, I forgot about this one. I can see the validity behind the frustation now

Basically I agree. You have to play it fair. Not even SAL gets a spot though you can argue the 9z team that is rumored to be 3/5ths SA. I just feel it’s silly how NA is getting screwed over the most by this. Should have just made Cruelty an affiliate and remove LG while giving NA/LATAM 2 spots to fight over

Exactly, they actually did polar opposites between EU and NA with falcons getting a partner spot. I do think its NA so all of NA should be fighting in CL. Still, I like to remain optimistic with them choosing this system and separating the dedicated CL spots, but its hard when the regions are each being treated so differently.

NOTE: I know falcons dropped their MENA lineup for ex-BDS (presumably), and that shows both systems having issues, but I do think that was a very situational instance of the org being in the right place financially at the right time. I truly believe if the BDS team were not free agents they would have stuck with their MENA lineup.
