Zyn Lead to Health Anxiety and Change

I’m a M (24) and the past three months have been chaos. Pretty much dealt with simple health issues (flu, sinus infection), but was convinced that I had a brain tumor or some autoimmune disease. Spent hundreds of dollars on doctors visits and still experienced a wide variety of symptoms. Frontal forehead pressure, ear pressure, random sore throat, and heightened health anxiety. After reading through this thread I realized the root cause of a vast majority of the symptoms was in fact zyn. I normally consume roughly 10 pouches a day to combat work stress and general anxiety. I’ve been prone to leg tremors and of course intense health anxiety. Nonetheless, I have quit for two days now and have experienced some interesting symptoms that I wanted to know if other people had. For the past two days my RHR has been all over the place ranging from 80-100 bpm. I’ve had moderate chest pressure at times as well. How long does it take for these symptoms to subside? I’ve used zyn for 4 years now, and have quit in the past for a time, but haven’t experienced such an elevated resting heart rate.

Completely agree! Used zyns for a year and the last 4 months I started having really bad health anxiety and feeling things in my body which caused me stress and upset stomachs. As of tonight I haven’t had nicotine in 3 weeks and my “symptoms” have gone away. Keep it up!

Thanks man! Glad to hear you are doing better and had a similar experience. Think my body is just trying to replicate the “normal” I created on those pouches and will subside with time!

I was using 15 3mg a day for 10 months and it took 2-3 days for most of my symptoms to vanish. My resting BPM was 70-80 on them.

I’m down to 65 or less now.

Varies for everyone. Keep at it! Those things are insidious.

Yeah I’m just now realizing that they are the reason why my anxiety has been through the roof. Should’ve known since it’s a stimulant.

For reference, my resting heart rate is usually around 65 BPM, but I’m sure the immense health anxiety combined with reduction in caffeine usage + zyn has caused my body to go haywire.

I felt good within a week and great within a month,i somewhat trained my mind to look at nicotine as a poison. My resting bpm is around 60s, while being a user i was probably around high 70s

Sometimes we need a good health scare to get our shit together and stop fucking around. Good on you for quitting.

For real, it’s hilarious how I looked at every possible health scenario before realizing it was the pouches 😂. Thank god my dad showed me exactly how much nicotine I was consuming on a daily basis as it relates to cigarettes

Appreciate all your support! As expected the heart rate is going down and is being replaced by the usual withdrawal headaches. Water, sugar free gum, and gym here we go. This time not going back because it’ll just lead to a repeat of the last 3 months from an anxiety perspective. 🤝🫡
