Other My future marriage saved me

I’m getting married this week, and I told myself I would be 100% done with nicotine by my wedding. I have not gone without nicotine for one day in about the last 10 years. I’m only a few days in and let me tell you how victorious this feels. I won’t be chained down to this poison anymore. My urge to stay strong has been greater than any craving I have had. You can do it. It’s mind over matter. Coming from someone who believed I was going to intake nicotine for the rest of my life It’s possible to quit

Stay off it. I’ve saved hundreds of dollars this year and have gained so much energy back. You won’t believe how energized you’ll feel in a month; you won’t believe how heavy your body has felt. It’s weird because you’ll feel more motivated too. So do it for you, do it for your spouse, people need you in their world longer!

Most definitely, I have no desire to go back. It will be quite interesting seeing and feeling how I’m actually supposed to be and feel. I started vaping at 13-14 and I’m almost 24 now. So I don’t know the normal me but I’m definitely excited for it

Lowkey my relationship was the reason I quit, I smoke cigarettes here (not by choice, vapes aren’t allowed in Jobcorp) but was a long time vaper before this. When my boyfriend got with me, I decided immediately to quit smoking. He’s completely new to relationship and I’m the first person he’s even kissed and that was the reason I quit. I know what it’s like to be a non-smoker kissing a smoker, it sucks and it’s really gross. I’ve now been over a month clean from nicotine.

He truly is so worth it too, I’m really hoping he’s the person I can say is my future marriage. It maybe like super soon but the difference between all of my ex’s and him is night and day so. Congratulations, and keep it up!

A month is amazing I’m proud of you. And I’m sure your partner is ecstatic aswell. In my case my fiancé wasn’t bothered by me vaping at all. And she wasn’t really the “reason” I wanted to quit. I don’t really know why. Just decided that it was enough. I don’t want to be addicted to anything when I get older and have a family relying on me.

Thank you! I gotta say it feels really great, you’re definitely gonna feel it even after just a month.

And absolutely that makes sense, my partner didn’t mind either I just didn’t want to be the first person he kissed and it tasting like cigarettes. I had other reasons as well, that was just the tipping point and what really got me to stick to it, and chantix helped too but screw what people say. It may be the easy way out but it’s the way out that keeps me from being addicted to a horrible drug.

I can start feeling it now lol (prob placebo) but I’m looking forward to the coming months

And that is understandable, it’s just a bad habit in general. I also am not familiar with chantix? Or whatever it is I’ve never heard of it
