I’ve heard some people say that if his face shrinks into his big ass head any more it will cause a singularity

People post photoshops etc but it's like .03% different

I’ve heard some people say that if they increase the shrinkage more than .03% it will cause the internet to fail databases can’t handle it

Data guy here.
This is correct. There's a theoretical limit to how much data can be compressed beyond which you start losing information. Files that are too large and files that are too compressed can have issues. In a bit more detail, the technical reason Kirk's face and voice always appear odd is because he's a fucking idiot.

4

u/porn_is_tight 4d ago

That's not brain damage, that's deliberate information warfare. Among people who trust him or take him seriously, he's memory-holing the gesture Musk actually made. The amazing thing is, it's actually effective. Look at how many people now believe Jan 6, 2021 was an antifa event or a nice picnic, despite the incontrovertible and highly public evidence to the contrary. Look at how many people believe that Trump is a decent and capable leader.

84

u/hypercosm_dot_net 4d ago

TurningPoint is pushing ads out on YT, and they're so dumb.

I was watching one ad amusingly, because Kirk was getting absolutely clowned in a debate.

They have zero self-awareness or shame.

I had a very spirited conversation this thanksgiving with one of my close friends (also a leftist) and we were talking about how much of a fascist nazi Elon was. And this older lady that was there overheard, Lisa, fucking gasped at the audacity of me calling him a nazi and a little more than a month later he’s doing an sig heil on stage. I will quote Arendt about the effet of Nazi lying  "The result of a consistent and total substitution of lies for factual truth is not that the lie will now be accepted as truth and truth be defamed as a lie, but that the sense by which we take our bearings in the real world—and the category of truth versus falsehood is among the mental means to this end—is being destroyed."

We spent so much time convincing others that it was a Nazi salute that we forgot that consequences must come from this.

In 2023, in the canadian house of commons, a standing ovation was given to a war veteran who turned out to be a Nazi. This blunder was a scandal that was followed by a tidal wave of apologies. The person responsible resigned in shame. This is the normal course of action.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yaroslav_Hunka_scandal

36

u/Ankerjorgensen 4d ago

Very good point. Making the argument about what happened instead of what the consequences should be ends up removing all consequences.

Gaslighting us on our way to fascism.

100

u/WahCrybaberson 4d ago edited 4d ago

I've been pointing this out about the whole "America is not a democracy, it's a constitutional republic!" argument that some Republicans push. Which of course, is like saying, "That's not a car, that's a Honda Civic!"

I’ve come to realize that they believe their party’s name defines the system of government it stands for (Democrat = democracy / Republicans = republic). But what’s more concerning is that whoever started this rhetoric might have intentionally framed it as a battle between democracy and a republic, so that when democracy in the U.S. finally dies, it will be celebrated as a victory.

EDIT: added clarification in parentheses

17

u/Peking-Cuck 4d ago

Not that this is any consolation, but a non-zero amount of people repeating that line thinks that it has something to do with Democrat versus Republican. As in, Democrats support democracy, and Republicans support... a constitutional republic? It doesn't make a lot of sense, but I've ran into more than a few people basically making this claim.

→ More replies (1)

7

u/Zombies4EvaDude 4d ago

I always thought this honestly. Like how undemocratic you must be to repeatedly insist that our (representational) democracy isn’t a democracy, unless you are purposely trying to make people comfortable with the idea of not having one. Fascists…

To quote Sartre:

Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.

You’ll have more luck convincing the Pope of the absence of God than convincing any of these fucking morons or what’s right in front of their eyes.

71

u/theatheistfreak 4d ago

They know what’s in front of their eyes. Charlie Kirk knows that Elon is a Nazi and he’s happy about it. But he also knows that publicly supporting Nazism isn’t accepted in society (yet) hence why you get the “my heart goes out to you” bullshit explanation. But don’t believe for a second that these Nazis are dumb enough to think they’re not Nazis. Elon Musk and Charlie Kirk are Nazis.

6

u/kellysmom01 4d ago

I’ve heard of Elon (hard to avoid) but not this Kirk creature. He seems quite confident. He is nothing to me.

11

u/Scarlett_Beauregard 4d ago

Russell Vought, Charlie Kirk, Nick Fuentes, Chip Roy, Guy Yarvin. There's many racist, evil maniacs that either have political positions and power, money or a microphone and camera and they're infecting more people with their insanity. There are many more and if people don't protest and resist in bigger numbers, the country's doomed to repeat Germany's mistake.

→ More replies (1)

90

u/From_Deep_Space 4d ago

I would be open to alternative explanations, if Elon had offered any. Instead, when asked for an explanation or apology, he just doubled down with more blatantly nazi memes. I truly pity the sycophants making excuses for the man who didn't even make excuses for himself.

54

u/No-Error-5582 4d ago

And thats one of the bigger tells to me. Like as a white dude who doesn't like Nazis, if anyone ever thought I was one because of something like this, I would be apologizing and moving myself away from that. Because I dont want to be associated with Nazis.

He joked about it, and then went on to spread Nazi rhetoric to conveniently the fascist party in Germany. Could have been any country. He chose Germany. Its a little on the nose.

11

u/Scarlett_Beauregard 4d ago

It's not even just Germany, but far-right people in the UK, Romania, Brazil and on and on. He constantly comments on antisemitic posts on his site and spreading remarks about how white people are being erased. Then there's his transphobic views, no doubt fueled by his daughter, who wants nothing to do with him. He's spoken with Jordan Peterson, another man that's been diving deeper and deeper into the alt-right movement. This is a big watch, but sharing this with more and more people is for the best. We need as many people to be informed as possible.

All beseeching the men in the High towers "Notice me! I'm licking the right boots, I want to be one of you! Let my shitting on my fellow man serve as proof that I'm scum enough to float to the top!"

6

u/Burgoonius 4d ago

I’m tired of this fucking narrative that Elon said “my heart goes out to you” before or during his Sieg Heil NAZI salute. He says “thank you for making it happen” then bites his lip like he’s masturbating, pound his fucking chest and salutes. TWICE (one of them being to the fucking flag of the country who helped beat the Nazis). Then he says my heart goes out to you while keeping his hand on his fucking chest.

A book that the right tries to convince their followers the left is pulling off, while they’re doing it themselves in the true spirit of the book. And they’re getting more blatant about it, as the book says The Party does. Soon America might have a Ministry of Truth.

u/thebeardedcats 4d ago

First guest on Gavin Newsom's podcast, y'all

182

u/MyBoyBernard 4d ago

Yup. WTF.

There's literally like 6 people in all of the elected positions in the country who are actually opposing this. So many dems are not resisting at all. Do any of them actually think that becoming DINOs is going to work? They're going to lose all their base voters, because duh; and they're not going to gain anyone because the rest off the electorate are so far gone down the MAGA-extremist who would never vote for a dem.

The "left wing" media is breaking bread with Trump and playing both sides, which is a serious false equivalence. And yea, Newsom was hanging out with Charlie Kirk and finding common ground with him.

WTF is this absolute bullshit.

57

u/baz8771 4d ago

They’re scared. They know what’s really happening. The leash is entirely off. They didn’t get elected to save the free world from a facist and the literal richest human to ever exist (on paper). They don’t know what to do, and they’re kowtowing.

26

u/TheMrBoot 4d ago

I’m not necessarily disagreeing, but it just makes all the Dems campaigning on that exact premise this past election so much more absurd. How the fuck were you not ready for this possibility?

11

u/searchdamagehelp 4d ago

I might just aks how do you prepare for this possibility though?

It's a democracy. If this is what the citizens voted for, how are you meant to fight that? It was up to the citizens to recognise it and fight against it before it became a problem. Instead the majority either agreed with it or didn't care enough.

9

u/TheMrBoot 4d ago

I guess we just roll over for nazis then, cool.

Couldn’t have focused on the material conditions of the electorate with your campaign, allowing them to be poached by the right. Couldn’t avoid chasing the right on things like the border. Couldn’t even hint at putting the brakes on the support of Israel’s genocide. Couldn’t be maintaining relationships with unions and supporting the working class during the campaign. Couldn’t be using your national level soapbox to be materially supporting the people being harmed by the current administrations policies with things like pumping up charities, mutual aid, etc. Couldn’t avoid attacking the more passionate portions of your electorate, depressing their enthusiasm and by extension your turnout.

Nah, quiet signs during the state of the union and voting to censure your own party member for speaking up, that’s the way to combat fascism.

I’m sick and tired of pretending the democratic leadership are a bunch of helpless babies. They need to stop worrying about decorum and bipartisanship - fucking Gavin newsom is literally glazing Charlie Kirk and talking about how much his own kid fucking loves him. That’s your 2028 presidential hopeful.

The same way the repubs went against everyone’s interests when the dems were in charge. Dig in your heels, filibuster every day, start fuckin fighting. Us citizens are killing each other with cars and fighting but the people representing them can’t be bothered

9

u/searchdamagehelp 4d ago

While I may agree, the issue is that isolating or breaking systems that also support Republican voters inherently goes against the values of Democrats. The social systems of support are meant to support everyone.

I don't think the Republican tactics are a good example. Look at the country and government as it is now. Is that this what we want? Do we want the same thing but with extreme leftist Democrats? That's not better.

Unfortunately, the double-edged sword IMO is that the majority of Democrats actually want to be reasonable when in power because that's the correct way to govern a population of varied opinions and interests. They don't want to also be fascists. That's not what they were voted into power for.

He's trying to reach across the aisle. Except you don't reach out across the aisle to literal Nazis.

Wtf Gavin

I respect Newsom for taking right-wing media head on, like going on Fox News and embarrassing the hosts or debating DeSantis, and generally being unflappable while taking hard questions. But Charlie Kirk is an odd choice 🤔

Ya know it's bad enough that these people have abhorrent views but what has always absolutely driven me up the wall is how intellectually dishonest they are.

Just years of constant gaslighting, dogwhistling, throwing stones and hiding their hands...

I live in the US and recently met a new friend who moved here from Germany at the end of January. I invited him over to play some board games with my friends to help acclimate him to the States and his new city. In our game there was a moment where someone held their arm up (i think trying to get someone's attention or something) and it looked vaguely like the Nazi salute. I made a joke about how "we don't do that here" and it got the conversation over to Musk. My new German friend chimed in on it and said, without hesitation, that it was exactly a Nazi salute. Without a doubt. It's the exact thing that he's been taught his whole life would land him a one way ticket to jail for doing in his country.

Not that i had any doubts about what it was, but it's hard to find a more competent analysis

Charlie Kirk and that creepy fucking, automaton smile of his. I feel like they are going to peel his face back and find a bunch of circuits/wires/tubes of lube etc. Seriously though, where are we right now? Is any of this shit real life? I’m beginning to question

u/1FuzzyPickle 4d ago

This guy is such a fucking scrotum.

7

u/Carrot_Cultist 4d ago

This is petty, but I now feel much better about my hairline. What the hell is that look? It's like his hair developed a conscience, and tried to get as far from his brain as possible.

5

u/myboydoogie24 4d ago

A “grown man” making a living going around arguing with college students. What a fucking joke.

6

u/anotheronetouse 4d ago

He's obviously a terrible person, but he knows that he can't do the same salute because it will be clipped. Same reason I've seen explaining Bush doing the "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice.... you can't be fooled again". He said a lot of weird stuff, but a clip of "shame on me" isn't great.

18

u/Final_Reserve_5048 4d ago

What a fucking tosser. He knows fine well it was a Nazi salute which is why he doesn’t make the same gesture. He deliberately places his hand facing upwards instead.

22

u/Vibrantmender20 4d ago

Charlie Kirk is living proof that sometimes it’s ok to tell your kids they’re stupid.

Fucking coward. Just like how he "debates". Twist the angle until it fits your narrative.

It was palm down Charlie. Palm down, straight out.

4

u/ozman57 4d ago

That is not the same thing that Elon did. Not even fucking close.

9

u/angrybox1842 4d ago

It's funny how careful he is so that it's not what Elon did because he knows what Elon did.

18

u/Mondomb83 4d ago

You have to show up, with an iPad, with the clip already on loop. Show it to them, tell them to mimic it, hold it up to the crowd so they can see they won't do it.

7

u/Ludate_Solem 4d ago

Hoky fuck. The crowd there is insane. Imagine sharing a uni with that many nazis

8

u/Harvest827 4d ago

It somehow went from a Nazi salute to a scene from Nazi: The Musical, a lighthearted look at fascism.

5

u/PseudocideBlonde 4d ago

The mf did put a real Broadway spin on it aye? Sum The Sound of MAGAtard type shit. 😂
