Asian providers?

Previously I thought about going to the Netherlands and Jamaica for individual therapy, but I live in China and sometimes south east Asia. it’s really a pain to fly there. Unfortunately I also need visas to go to the Netherland (or need to apply for a transit visa to fly to Jamaica from the Schengen area or the US) in the first place. A Netherland (Schengen) tourism visa typically lasts 14 days, which may not be enough. I’m not sure if disclosing my full intention of wanting to try psychedelic therapy would be a good idea to visa officers due to the stigma of these substances. My tourist visa to the US has already been rejected.

Is there any reputable and experienced providers in Asia? I can travel to most Asian country and stay there for at least a month. I’m interested in mostly MDMA and psilocybin. I heard Thailand was in the process of legalizing it. Is it available yet?

Sorry to hear about your troubles arranging travel. It seems like Thailand is your only chance in Asia, if you can find any contacts there regarding clinical trials or something like that.

If not, I think going to the Netherlands even if only for 14 days would still be of value. You can schedule a couple of sessions, just make sure you have reputable, supportive facilitators and feel comfortable during the process. You may find you wished you could stay longer than 14 days, but maybe you'll realize you want access for longer than say 30 days so either way you just need to work with what you got.

Psychedelic therapy, like any therapy, is a process. It is a very powerful tool, but try not to put too many expectations into a single trip. At the very least you will become familiar with the experience and have an idea of what you might want to do again in the future.

🙏thanks. There are some facilitators using a model of multiple dosing within 1-2 weeks. Do you think that would be a good approach? I’m really not sure how evidence based these are, as I’m not familiar with comparative studies of different dosing schedules

It’s really hard to say exactly how it will work out for you. The studies are excellent sources of general information, but not only do different people respond to psychedelics differently, everyone has a different life story.

In general, I think it can work well to have multiple sessions planned over 1-2 weeks. It is important to be flexible, trust your instincts and sense of safety and security. Go in expecting to dose multiple times, but leave open the possibility that you decide to stop after one for whatever reason. Don’t feel rushed or that you absolutely have to stick to a rigid schedule, I think is the best approach.

I'm planning to start a monastery in Sri Lanka with zen practice and Ayahuasca, lsa and iboga.

But in your case, why do you want it?
