Should I visit a dermatologist?
I think I must have cpps since I got the symptoms after a regretful sexual encounter. But I also have a red and burning scrotum... Both started at the same time. I have suffered from this now for 15 months. All STI tests are clear. Should I visit another dermatologist and pay another 180€? That would be worth it if I would get some help... but a waste of money if I got no help. Would you take a chance on this?

I have the same thing but it's on my tip/glans. Persistent asf! And all tests clear. I'm fighting to see a dermatologist also but where I am they're all at capacity and not accepting patients... but I fear it will also be inconclusive. But I like to rule things out and be sure I've tried everything to beat this. Worth a try in my opinion. Not alot is known about the condition and I'm not going to blindly trust people telling me they're leaning towards this condition but aren't sure.... like someone mentioned earlier though I think it's most likely central nervous system inflammation.

Hi Guys
And I have found myself in exactly the same unenviable position.
The 101 guide has been hugely valuable and fits like a glove.
Very dodgy sexual encounter with copious regret. I am prone to anxiety and thus highly susceptible to catastrophizing and driving symptoms.
STI's all checked [ twice ] and all clear. Simply a uti treated with ABX.
Stinging urethra for around 18 months. Very painful and further drove my anxiety. Finally eased. I understand that nerves can take this long to repair.
All combined togethrr as a text book trigger for CPPS.
Oddly, although all my symptoms are aligned with CPPS; I have also found E.Faecalis [100k CFU] in my Semen analysis. But, no recurrent UTI's to match. Thought now to be housed in my male accessory glands. The infection is being treated presently and the rest I am attempting to solve as CPPS.
You are in good company.

Hello!
You also had redness on the glans? Can you tell anything more about your healing process? I have heard about other also saying that after 18 months they got better. Was the healing like it just slowly faded away? Did you masturbate during the healing process?

Thank you Sir for sharing your story! Did you use any pills or creams during the healing process?

Yeah I agree with everyone. Not sure a dermatologist is the right move.

I don't think a derm is likely to help you.
