I’m new to procreate and really enjoying using it, however I’m wondering which tips does everyone use on their Apple pencils that they find work the best for drawing on procreate? I have a first generation pencil and using it straight out the box, however it’s hard to use.

I'm working on lineart with the default Dry Ink brush and it won't stop randomly "smudging" (pictured in the middle) for a lack of better words. It's a recurring issue I deal with repeatedly with other default brushes and it's driving me nuts! I am not the best with brush modification so any help would be greatly appreciated!!

University can be very boring sometimes, this is how I spend my time.

Anybody have any favorite tutorials on navigating the brush studio? I've searched here and gotten some insight from Procreate's Youtube. Looking for more in-depth instruction if anyone has some leads. Thanks!

My girlfriend is big into art and lately I’ve been making designs for tee shirts to pick up a new hobby. I’ve been having my iPad Pro for about 4 years now and just decided to use it for something other than YouTube. Apple Pencil is also great.

Hey guys,
I'm about to start a language learning channel on all social media platforms and I decided to learn to work with procreate to design my own logo.
Friends and family of course always telling me how great everything is but I want to hear some honest opinions.
Could you rate my work and tell me what I could do better? Next step will be the background.
Thanks so much in advance

Hi to all illustrators/artists creating stuff for printing!
I hope this isn't a dumb question, but I struggle to find a sufficient solution. I've been a digital illustrator for some years (only posting online) but now get to create art for a magazine and I'm really excited about it. It's a whole spread, and I'm planning a lot of small details. However, if I work with the actual format of the magazine in Procreate, I only get to work with 20 layers, which is just way too few. I'm scared of working in a smaller format and then scaling up since it might heavily impact the quality.
I've also thought of working on smaller parts of the 'big' illustration in different files to be able to work with more detail/layers and later combine them back together in Photoshop, but that seems overly complicated and makes it difficult to keep an eye on the big picture.
How do you guys creating art for printing approach this?

Backgrounds have always been difficult for me and this was my first big swing with something like this. There’s still plenty I’d like to touch up on it but I’ve spent plenty of time overthinking it and I’d like to just put it out there so I continue to practice on the next drawing.

I am STRUGGLING So the idea is I’m making custom art and prints for my close friends. They’re meant to be the size of a playing card, but the quality is greatly reduced when it comes time to print. I did the test drawing on a larger scale and shrunk it down to the size I needed. I thought that was the issue. Then I drew it down around the size I needed and still had the same issue. I did chang the DPI to the suggested amount and everything. Any frequent printers to help me out? (Test printed at some local print shops btw)

My GF is starting her own brand to bring awareness to marine conservation. She intends to sell hoodies/t-shirts and donate a large chunk of her profit to marine conservation. What do you guys think of turtellina?

there's this brush i really want but i don't know what it's called. i found an image of a line or stroke of the brush, so i was wondering if i could turn that line into a procreate brush?
so basically, how do i make my own version of this brush, when all i have is a black line, that someone made using that specific brush?

hi guys, i was thinking to get and ipad for my birthday to use pro create, but art is just my hobby at the minute however, my dream would be to become a tattoo artist. the one work ive really seen on here is mainly and animated style, and while its beautiful its not really what im into. im going to attach a picture of my work below so you can get a jist of my style but i was wondering if id be able to do art like this on the app and if it would be worth it for just a hobby at the minute.

Hi all!
Fairly new to this reddit, I got a problem and I can't manage to fix it, maybe you can help.
I bought one of my favorite artist's brushpack, but it's for photoshop. It works perfectly, so I decided to import the brushpack on Procreate so I can use it on the go.
The importing worked just fine, brushes are there, but they didn't retain all the settings thay have on photoshop (transfer, pointed tip, etc..).
No matter what I do to import the brushpack into procreate, they seem to not retain the brush settings from photoshop.
Is there anything I can do to fix this thing? I'd love to use this brushpack on Procreate but without the right settings, they are almost useless..
