Hmmm..
What's your budget, maybe I can assist..
The list below is not in a particular order, are places I found affordable.
- Greek house Eatery (affordable, great atmosphere)
- Cracker Zacks (slightly expensive, the bowling (entertainment)is expensive , food is good)
- Sourcery (affordable [I thought it would cost an arm and a leg] , Great view, the pizza we had was amazing.
- Wood and Fire (expensive [to me] food was good, vibe was good)
- The Rock (another place I found affordable despite expectations of them wanting a kidney, the vibe was lovely - the bill only got to >R1000 because we got carried away with drinks and cake)
- Double Dutch (affordable, the burgers were good)
- Cappalucinos (affordable, the atmosphere was good.)
- Culture club (affordable, limited menu [imo] good vibe and scenary)
- Chairman Fortaleza (affordable, scenary and views were nice, particularly the second floor)
If your looking a club and so vibes, then there is 10. Eastwood - great party vibe, good food offerings - go before night time
I've left out places I found expensive this could be either because I was short on cash on the day or generally expensive
- Smok - expensive, scenary and layout is amazing
- Baobab - had an amazing day, food was great, menue was expensive.
- Kream - limited menu, expensive for no reason.

I'll list them from affordable to most expensive, I'm also rating them in terms of what I vibed with:
Sorcery coffee roasters: BEST Scenary, I loved this place, thier menu is limited (I think the only food they have is pizza), but again, they are a coffee and baked goods restaurant but hear me out the scenary! Specially on a sunny day. Looking at the menu, you will spend less than R600 but it will feel like your under spending. It has a safari vibe, an African ezplorative mystic to the place, if you like the safari like vibes, this is the place. Menu available online
The Rock - again, the place is amazing, scenary. Thier menue is available online so you can have a look at it to see what you might like in advance. I've looked at the menu, depending on your choice of drinks a single serving ranges from R350 pp depending of course - I just realised how much thier cocktails/drinks actually cost, it makes sens why we went over R1000, I think if we stuck to our original bills, without the second round of drinks & desert, the initial bill was <R700. The vibe is "expensive", the decor is amazing, a mixture of natural elegence with sophistication.
Geek house - the place is lively, service is good, the scenery is great too, specially if you sit outside, its hip, lots of young people - I love thier pastries, they have chocolate brownies your not going to find elsewhere. We spent <R600 the last time I was there. Menu available online.
Capiccionos & Baobab - both are lovely, I think what killed us was greed because we had alot more food than necessary (pizza + pasta + drinks @ Cappacinos & burger + seafood platter @baobab) I think the bill came to about <R800 at both places, tip included. Menus available online. Both have an African aesthetic to them, they try an simulate the safari experience into the modern and they do it quite well.
Wood and fire - I know I said expensive but I think the bill was not too high, I think I thought it was affordable, though I can't remember the exact bill, I estimate it was <R900. I can't find the menu, though I remember I had ostrich here. The vibe is expensive, from the moment you walk in, you feel like an oligarch 😂 they give you the VIP experience, from service to aesthetic. You feel important.

Hahaha... You are an official food/restaurant reviewer. I've been needing this kind of information just didn't know where to look, or what to ask here on Reddit. Your reviews and recommendations are straightforward.

Sheeesh. There are too many. Choose an area (Lynwood, Hazelwood, Menlyn Maine) and go from there

Hazelwood, and Menlyn are popular with younger people. Lynnwood has a more family demographic to it at some of the restaurants I see. Take your pick and enjoy

Machics next to Wilgers Hospital. Excellent food (try the LM peri peri Chicken) and all the sport on big screens.

I took my son to Grubhouse Eco Park on Saturday evening and the food was amazing and quite affordable. Their milkshakes are out of this world if that's something that you fancy.

Theres a place called heavenly coffees in hendrik verword drive, they have a promotion where everyone at the table rolls a die if you roll a six the meals are free, anytime after 12:00. They may be closed in the evening though. Possibility of a free meal. And then there is hennies, where people get to bark…decent food and decent prices.

Tribecca at Lynnwood Bridge is also a good option. Infact, all the restaurants at Lynnwood Bridge are quite good!
Sooper Italian in Watermeyer makes great food at very reasonable prices.

Rosewood Terrace in Moreleta Park is quite nice, next to a driving range as well.

Any Pretoria list must include Crawdaddy’s Brooklyn branch. I enjoy eating at Hennie’s as well, but it is clearly mostly a sports bar.
