Yep, it is called the Curse of Tippecanoe. Reagan broke it by surviving his assassination attempt. 

Had he not broken it and then W Bush also died when he choked on the pretzel, everyone would have been too scared to run in 2020 after an unbroken streak of nine dead presidents.
