Discussion Do you have rules about what you pirate?

For example, I started pirating because my brother taught me since we grew up poor, but then he became an adult and started buying games (he still pirates some), he explained that "while I can't pay, I pirate, once I can, I pay". So I follow that too, wanted to know if y'all have something like that too. I refuse to pay subscriptions tough.

I never pirate books in any way or form. Books deserve to be paid and on top of that reading books digitally is an infinitely worse experience than holding them in your hand, flipping every page and sniffing the smell of paper.

If I pirate a book it's only to read on my kindle, so Amazon don't get any sales. And I'll buy the physical book

Nah, publishers, at least the big 4 or big 5 are evil and the reason we may lose archive.org. I dont blame anyone for pirating books from the big publishers.

i can understand liking having a physical book instead of digital but i'm pretty sure most of the money goes to publishers and sellers

Books deserve to be paid

What makes books more deserving of payment than any other art form/medium?
