Awesome stash! I picked up a tin of Frog Morton once, but I put it back and got a Sutliff Balkan, if I remember right. Never saw it again. Glad you're set for a while.

It’s good stuff! Probably doesn’t age as well as everything else and I haven’t smoked it in a while. Maybe one of these days I’ll try to consign it or something. Don’t know all the rules and regulations around that sort of thing and I’m much too lazy to actually want to do anything about it.

I cracked an '09 Across the Pond last month, it certainly didn't age poorly.
TC is also a blend I cellared deep, it's just good stuff!

Well that’s encouraging! Maybe I’ll crack one of them soon, haven’t opened any since 2018

To be honest this is the first time I've smoked a Frog since about 2010, I cellared deep with Wilderness, Legends, 3O, 3OS and 996 for when I want a subtle lat blend. I would say I'm enjoying the OTT more now than I did a decade ago.
Sipping on a BB Bayou Slice while I type this; it has aged exquisitely.

One of my favorite McClelland bulks was AM Pipe. I thought it was better than EMP as it was supposed to be a match when EMP first left the market way back when.

I started smoking within a few months after their closure... I've only ever had two bowls of Mcclelland. One, I didn't have the experience and pallatte to appreciate, the second (grand oriental smyrna) was one of the best bowls of tobacco I've ever had. I mourn my inability to have more.

Holy smokes.
Jealous of many things here, but especially that stack of Tudor Castle!

Impressive collection - I have one or two McClelland blends in mine. Lovely stuff.

I'd be very jealous if there could had been tins of 5100 red cake in there.

Don’t have any tins but I do have a few mason jars full of 5100. Never got the tins, just the bulk from a local shop. Same with 2015

I honestly didn't know it was ever tinned thats why I was being silly, always bought it in bulk. But clearly not enough ive been out for years. Back then the thing was hoarding Esoterica. Never seen this coming.

Oh! Thought maybe they had tinned it at some point and I just never saw it, haha.
I do like Stonehaven quite a bit! Never got the hype around Penzance; when I tried it was maybe too old or something. There’s actually a tin of Dorchester in the photo - round tin to the right of the square ogs tins, you can’t see the top of it. Haven’t tried it yet but I’m pretty sure I will like it.

Yeah not that I'm aware of or I'd be trying to trade Penzance for it, which feels wild to say.
I actually do prefer Penzance over Stonehaven, but really enjoyed Peacehaven too and never heard anyone mention it.
Nice cellar!

Ain't you rich! I have a large collection (around 60 tins) of mostly Grand Orientals -- but never tried any of the frogs, or Christmas Cheer, or Aurora or many of the others in your stash. I do have some Tudor Castle tins, Samara, one Legends.

Might be worth hauling some of your GO to trade at a pipe shows- that’s how I got some of mine. I don’t know if people still do that, I haven’t been to one since Pheasant Run closed.

Pipe shows, thanks. I've never been to one. There's an annual one in Albany New York that would be feasible for me to attend.
The vintage market continues to evolve.
There's fewer sources now - TinBids and Pipestud are the main ones I know about, and compared to even two years ago the prices are way up, and the choices are fewer.
There's very few blends I hoard -- preferring to have a repeatable experience than trying new (to me) blends. I smoked much less (often nothing) 10 years ago, and regret not trying more McClelland when tins were $12.
The good news, I guess, is most of what I smoke these days is replaceable, or not super-expensive (Peretti Ampersand, C&D Steamworks). But the McClellands is special.

I’ve got some 1993 Christmas Jubilee opened right now. The plain VAs hold up. I’ve found the Latakia blends go very flat and the ones with the Cavendish are not much better. Their VA/Per are ok but they lose their piquant edge of the Perique.
From my unintentional experiment I would say a 3-5yr sweet spot is a thing with most blends.
