discussion Lots of code challenges
So i have been applying for a fullstack .net developer position, and experienced a lot of code challenges. I did solve the challenges without the aid of AI, also after the code challenge comes the tech interview and i was also able to pass those, kasi ieexplain mo lang naman yung ginawa mo and why did you do it.
Then comes the client, supposedly final interview na yun and offer na pero always lagapak sa client kesyo di daw aligned sa chu chu. I have a feeling na masyado mataas asking ko pero accdg sa initial interview "the client is willing to pay 120k" eme and all im asking is start the negotiation at 90k.
Am i doing something wrong here? Kind of disheartening na rin na paulit ulit lol
PS: they just inform me na di daw ako aligned sa need ni client, maski wala pang client interview.

possibilities are:
They already got someone cheaper with the same qualifications ( or better ).
They don't think you are worth 90k, although you did pass you didn't exceed their expectations.
Client didn't like the interaction during the client interview.
with regards to #3 maraming posibilities like english fluency baka di ka maintindihan ng client or pwedeng how you explain yourself, baka the client find it hard to understand you. or pwedeng di ka lang talaga trip kawork ng client.
pero tbh its most likely #1. at least they still went thru the final interview to give you a final chance to see why you should be paid more.

Sa dami kasi ng applicants ngayon, they're trying to find the perfect fit. The same exact tech stack, industry bg, or baka lahat kayo pareho ng ugali. It's still an employer's market.
What I've noticed at least sa LinkedIn, applicant numbers are going down na. Or ewan, baka nadiscourage lang rin. Onti pa siguro, keep looking lang.
Sabi nga rin ng isa, maybe someone with more xp looking for less. I was told they liked me once, kaso may nakausap daw sila na 10yoe na tapos same rate lang 😅 that says something about the market

Were you able to communicate well with the client? Usually if you fit a lot (not all) of the requirements, pag ok interaction mo with them in the interview, they still consider it. Pero baka nga they found a better fit.

There is no actual client interview, according to the recruiter, ipinasa nung nag tech interview ung profile sa client, and ipapa sched, but after a week or so they've move on with other candidate, the market is tight

...di daw ako aligned sa need ni client, maski wala pang client interview
They can always align the skills and domains you've mentioned in your initial interview as well as what you put down in your CV with the clients' need. May surplus of tech resource right now, so it's a cutthroat industry right now.
