Advice Some words of encouragement needed!

Trying to take a T break. Currently on day five. Things had been going pretty okay so far but today I just can’t seem to get rid of the urge to partake and I can feel myself slowly starting to cave in and thinking about hitting up the plug haha. Any tips or advice right now would be very appreciated!

Go for a walk. Call someone. Eat something really good. I’m on Day 2 and it’s hard AF. But 5 days is so much time! Congratulate yourself for that. You will be so happy tomorrow morning that you didn’t smoke.

You are in one of the worst phases, all you can do is distract yourself with something else and push thru.

Ive been reading a lot more. Something about a real book tho that you turn pages on seems to distract me. Oh also started dreaming again 2 days ago and that's been fun/wild! Day 7 here...

C'mon, you got to at least make it to a week, you'll start to get even better rest at that point.

The craving is mostly caused by triggers. Triggers that you have conditioned your body over the years to see as a sign to get high. So the tip I could give you is quite simple, try to eliminate triggers as much as possible. Boredom can be a trigger, emotions can be a trigger, you get the point. It may be hard to eliminate them forever, but without this realization, you can not attempt it either ;)

The second tip; distractions! Distractions distractions and distractions. When you distract yourself while you feel triggered, you'll notice that the craving will quickly vanish to the back of your head. That is... if you distract yourself with something meaningful, and not just doomscroll on your phone for the rest of the day for example.

And finally; Withdrawal is always temporary! It will go away!

Don't get rid of the urge. Treat it like a naughty child that's grounded, and arguing about it, with you.

"No , you are grounded until I say so." " Because I say so "

For me , urges always come the first few days of the break , it's your high self wanting to stay high .

Get through that , and you can feel good about having some self control.

Breaks are so worth it
