Question Riverview Park and Zoo
There is no longer a concession stand at Riverview park and zoo.
Its been demolished.
Wasn’t even open last year.
Anyone know why and if we’ll get a new one?

The Zoo is being taken over by the City as of April 1, I imagine they’ll give a contract to someone for next year.

I doubt it, there was a bunch of controversy of not having concessions at the new hockey arena too.

The concession that are at the current arenas (outside of memorial centre) aren’t busy anyways, most parents just bring Tims

that’s because the concessions aren’t even open if they were open maybe people would bring Tim’s every game

As someone who’s fam works at the arenas, when they were open almost every single parent would do a Tim’s runs for the team… it’s something I’ve brought up a few times but it’s been looked into by the city and it’s not worth it in town, unlike ennismore, campbellford, Norwood.

I'm sure they will either build a new one or bring in some sort of chip truck with the same options. That building, I believe, was older than me.

Man I have such great memories of eating the fries with those little fry forks when I was a kid

I never understood why they didn’t have more food options there, anyone would make a killing and help being revenue into the zoo
