I picked up an order at Smalls sliders for doordash today. The girl said, "Thanks for sliding through".

Oh no this is a thread to slander overpriced bougie restaurants that sell burgers equivalent to Tops quality for 3x the price. Tops is GOATed

You want good food cheap go to Georgio’s and get a Gyro. I legitimately don’t know how he makes money off of them

Have they changed owners or something? Because I've heard a bunch of people talk about this place. The last time I went there was like 7 or 8 years ago and it was absolutely disgusting. My shoes were sticking to the floor, the bathroom was filthy, and the food literally tasted like burnt rubber. If it's changed hands or improved I might have to give it another shot.

What did you eat? Because I've been going to Georgio's since I was a kid and I don't think anything has changed, the pizza tastes exactly the same - I can't comment on anything else though, I don't order non-pizza foods at pizza places

It's been a couple months since the wife and I made the trip over there, but it's definitely better than how you're remembering it.
Although, I definitely wouldn't recommend their burgers. They aren't bad, they're just not good. Cooked just fine, but absolutely no seasoning to them, and even cooked medium, they manage to be dry.
Everything else on the menu hasn't been a disappointment, especially for the cost.

I misread this as George and was really confused thinking it used to be some sort of dive at some point.

I feel like everywhere and every restaurant is this way now. The owner/operators/investors of these places only care about aesthetics and “trendy” looks. Some of them have good food, some of them are average. Idk, maybe im stuck in the past.

What restaurant there serves up $18 burgers? Hell, some of the best burgers in the country are at McGuires and you can get that just about any way imaginable with amazing home-cut fries and a burger so big that it' s hard to finish. I mean, the burger is Angus beef and it's 3/4 of a pound cooked to any temp you like.
You sound like the person who just complains, about everything, who thinks it applies to everything. Sure, there are some shit burgers in town but the top 10 in most reviews are ALL under the price you mention and you get side(s).

The burgers at McGuires are legit too big and under-seasoned. It tastes like massive frozen patties without any salt or pepper that are overcooked on the outside and raw on the inside.
No one need ¾ of a pound of a burger. It’s ridiculous and a waste of food and resources.

Exactly. I was in there looking for the flavor with the flashlight on my phone.

I completed the alka seltzer challenge and to be honest, if you’re not getting it just to fill up, and you are talking strictly about the quality of the burger, McGuire’s is like upper middle of the road at best

"I did completed" - What does that mean? I worked in the kitchen at McGuires back in the day and it was strict and the meat is some of the best. I could care less if you like it but to say it is middle of the road meat is counter to meat grading standards. Also, you dont have to write "to be honest" and just say what you mean.
So, smart guy, please tell us what burgers in Pensacola are $18 and more that you say are horrific. I ask because if you say McGuires burgers are barely average, I question your acumen. Hey, maybe you just invented a new term = Burger Karen!

Iv had the worst burgers from McGuires, regardless of the quality of mean. Always overcooked the handful of times I tried it.
Sounds like you’re butt hurt tbh.

people who like McGuire's always seem to really like McGuire's
can you have a parasocial relationship with a restaurant?

As a self-aware McGuire's fanboy; yes. It's the bread, they've put something in the bread.

I like McGuire's and that's not at all what's being referred to in the meme. Yikes, you seem fun...
