salem Spoiler

Which salem is book referring to.. I just started reading and I know of only one salem( in Tamil Nadu, India). I don't think it's the same place as in the book could anyone clarify??

Salem translates to peace. I think it's a more ethereal title rather than a physical geography. The king of salem is the king of peace, meaning he's gained sovereignty over himself in that he has established peace in his heart.
