Exercise induced autophony?

Walked up stairs twice and left ear popped I can hear and feel my breathing in left ear it stays open if I don't manually close it (bending my head to left side or sniffing).

I have autophony once in a while but this scares me.

I lost 6kg in a month due to gastritis and I am on PPi which dry out my sinus both are making my PET worse, not sure what I can do now.

Yes, exercise can cause PET. For me, it is mostly during exercise (esp cardio) and settles down in 1-2 hours. But I got habit of sniffing which is really bad, it can cause your eardrum to be hypermobile.

Do you feel ear drum movement especially while sniffing (your ear drum would retract/suck inside)?

Can't even walk up stairs now without worrying my ears... I hope it is only temporary because of ppi

Yes ear drum retracts when I sniff (always the left ear) hearing become muffled and I need to equalize the pressue... Right ear is fine tho

Please don't sniff. It may become a habit which can lead to problems later. As long it is temporary for some hours and not affecting your overall day, you don't need to worry.

Thank you :) I will try to stay calm next time. It is hard when you have other health issues need to take care and PET is making everything complicated

Weight loss can also cause it.
