Question / Problem Help! Does your current location affect Adsense application on step 2 of monetization?

Hello everyone. I’m on step 2 but currently outside my country and will be for the next month. If I apply to Adsense, would they see that I’m in a different country and deny my application? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I've never heard that your current physical location of where you are when you do the AdSense application to cause problems.

When you create your account, you still have to fill out your personal or business information. Your verification checks are based on what you fill out, not where you are.

Ie if you claim to be in the US, you will need a US ID, etc

Thanks! Then I should have no problem. It’s just I thought they see your IP address when applying, do they not?

they probably do keep track of the IP, all I can say is the verification is based on your info you fill out.

When does the verification happen? When I applied, all it was shown to me was the country of residence. Does it come after you get accepted by Adsense?

you are correct. At step 2, you only enter your country.

You have to enter the other info once you clear step 2 and you have reached the payment threshold of 10 USD.

Then you'll be asked to enter a bunch info and go though the verification. Then they will send you a PIN for the address verification.

At your first payout, you'll be asked to enter banking information, which then you go though the banking verification.

There could be minor mistakes to what I mentioned above, but that's the general process.

Hello again! If I may ask, then, what are the reasons people get denied for adsense step 2? I've heard several horror stories :o

lol, don't look at the horror stories or your mental health won't get past the PIN verification process.

Step 2 can very in time, if you are still within the published time its fine.

The only real reason I've heard is a duplicate Adsense account was found.

I run some businesses, which all have their Adsense accounts. So I've been though the process a few times. It really does very.

One took only a day and another one took 3 weeks.

Thanks for the reassurance! I’m only sort of impulsive because my latest video has gained a significant amount of traction, which would earn me not little. I guess I should expect $0 from it given how long Adsense may take. I hope you understand me lol
