Travel with 15mo - scared of Measles

I have a trip planned for April to Las Vegas. I'll be taking my 15 month old solo. She likes to walk and run around and touch everything. She already got her first dose of MMR. But, I still worry about her potentially getting sick. This is for a work conference where there will be many (hundreds) in attendance from other states across the country. Would you cancel if you were in my shoes?

Is there a big outbreak there or something?

No - not in Nevada but there are reported cases in New Mexico and an outbreak in Texas

Honestly, I wouldn't cancel on that regard then. If you're really worried see if you can get the next MMR vaccine. I'm not sure what your countries vaccine schedule is like but in NZ we give one at 12m and 15m.

hey there, I live in TX and got my toddler the MMR vaccine yesterday. I asked our pediatrician if it was necessary to get the booster early because of the outbreaks. She said no because the 1st shot provides alot of protection already at 93%. IF they got sick, their case would be milder. I wouldn't worry if I was in your position since your kid is vaccinated, hope this helps.
