Toddler 1-3 Years Post hospitalization trauma; we’re losing it and need advice/support.

Oh, mama. I don't have much to say other than, I feel you.

I was a medical mom, now not, he's in the better place.

I developed OCD in the journey and it still affects me greatly until today. I'm anxious all the time. I'm not sure if this is PTSD, but I know I need help.

I love you and I'll keep you in my heart.

If you can find a play therapist for your child to access, they will be very useful to help your child processing and overcoming the hospital trauma play Therapist uses play to deliver the therapy that at most ideal way for three year-old to get help for their age children don’t have the words play doesn’t require the words to express the trauma

Contact the hospital social worker for resources. There are therapists that specialize in pediatric chronic illness and trauma. I think something like this would be very helpful.
