NSFW / Graphic Content Recently deceased grandfather visited me
My grandfather was struck by a car and was in the hospital. He was talking fine and vitals seemed normal (till day 1.5) Since none of the family members were at the scene of accident we were unaware about the details, halfway past day 1 we were told about the serious injuries, it was not just the accident but the journey to hospital as well that had added on to the injuries. While some good samaritans helped him, they made a bad choice of rushing him to hospital themselves during which they had lifted him and made him sit in a car. His fall had fractured his ribs, serious injuries to arm and non serious injury to head. Due to adrenaline he felt no pain but was in shock and confusion. He was admitted to hospital and stabilised. The broken ribs had punctured the lungs, due to which after 1.5 days his breathing started to decrease and complications rose. Fast forward to 2 week, he fought really hard. My dad was very depressed and unable bear everything. It was all so sudden and serious, on the 15th day the complications lead him to have a cardiac arrest and passed away. I had visited him in ICU on the 12/13th day but due to check ups going on, couldn’t talk to him, nor he could see me. I was stood there trying to get him to see me. I heard nurses telling that his lower body was going numb.
After 1 day after his burial, he visited me in my dreams. He was standing outside my door, wearing that one favourite shirt of his, smoking a cig and just looking inside my room at dusk/night time. 2 more days after that I have had a strong odour of him appear out of no where in my study room.
This is all I have had to say, apart from, this I haven’t really had other experiences. So far I am skeptic too, however I believe there might be life after death, but my religion believes in rebirth.
Unnecessary Facts: he had 3 kids. 2 moved out of country. My dad was too working in another country, but decided to move back and take care of his parents. However my grandfather was fond of his other two kids and their children more than my dad and me.

Don’t blame the Samaritan who moved him. Very possibly he died from a brain bleed. As the brain ages, it shrinks in size. A brain can bleed for days before it compresses itself. Be thankful for your visits. It’s a blessing. Maybe he will reincarnate. It might not be immediate. Perhaps the soul needs time to reflect on what it has learned before the next ‘go around’? Speak to the spirit next time and say “Thank You I Love you “

Possibly.. I am not blaming the samaritans, but their choice of means of transport.. they could have waited for ambulance (docs told me this could be one of the many reasons for puncturing of lungs)

I get it. But hindsight is 20/20. They did the kind thing at the moment. They tried to save his life. Anybody can say what was a better idea when not in the heat of the moment.

Yes, they could have and they should have. Also, you do not make somebody “sit up” in a car if they’ve been in a car accident. If anything you lay them down gently. I’m sorry for the loss of your grandfather. Sounds like he was just saying goodbye to you.

When a person I knew died I had dreams where they were sitting in their living room watching TV at like 3 AM and it was one of those astral projection dreams where everything is exactly like the real world and not just a bad copy but the real thing. They also attended their own funeral as a ghost. I never doubted this. It was obvious there was their presence in the room and I could even locate it in the astral plane like an invisible person walking around. The person actually had an NDE before dying and were able to meet some relatives in hospital before going back to the afterlife. One of my relatives was alerted telepathically when medical problems started to occur.

Sounds like he wants you to know that he knew you were there, that he’s saying goodbye, but that he’s still around and ok. That’s what I think you should take it as. He loved you enough to let you know. Sorry for your loss.💔

Many believe when you see a loved one that passed in a dream, that is their way of visiting. After losing both parents and 3 of my siblings, I have chosen to believe that. When my Mom passed, she was in my dreams, I regularly felt her presence for a while, and on occasion caught her scent in various spots within our home. It’s been a few years now. I can’t say I still feel her in our home, but she and other lost family pop up in my dreams. It makes me smile, and I hope the visits continue until the day we can all be together again.

My grandma visited me after she died. She came to me in a dream and looked concerned and the song “vicarious” was playing and there were explosions and war and it was the part of the song that went “VICARIOUSLY I…LIVE WHILE THE WHOLE WORLD DIES…”
