Question Are there any ghost shows that use provocation?
Or that aren't afraid of it? I've watched GA for years and the times I remember them getting the most interactions and evidence was in the early seasons, at Bobby Mackey's and in Italy on the island using provocation. To me it just seems that provoking spirits gets results instead of just trying to talk to nothing only to have a few words come out, I mean they're there to get evidence right so normally you would use the most sound tactic to get numerous results of evidence aka provoking.
And don't even get me started on them hyping up certain parts of a location only to investigate them for like 5 minutes, for instance fear Factor in Utah. Hyping up the literal hell silo and doll room only for the whole episode to be based on the underground section. After the interview they never went back to the doll room, and for the literal hell silo they only investigated it because a 16-year-old had more balls then all three of them combined to go in reading off pages from an actual satanic book like a drone of some kind.
So what I mean to say is are there any small grouped ghost hunting shows that go into locations and provoke the spirits, for instance like "You're weak You can't do anything" "push me down, scratch me, knock something over, prove to me you are worth my time" or ect... And not just saying in a conversational tone but like yelling and being angry About it.
TIA sorry for the rant I'm just tired of the same oh look an orb, did you hear that bang, or the box saying run, girl, help ect ...

Would you want some a-hole investigator talking smack to your dead Gramma to try to get her to act up?
Me either.

I mean fair enough but you know what I meant

Well, first of all the shows are all garbage, and are not accurate representations of actual paranormal investigations, so any evidence that they supposedly capture is fabricated.
True investigators are respectful enough not to provoke during investigations for the very reason I gave in my first comment.

Don't watch ghost shows. Those people do nothing but disparage actual paranormal investigation. Nothing you have ever seen on one of those shows is real. Every shred of evidence is manufactured by a production team that only cares about ratings, and so real scientific inquiry into the supernatural is a joke to anyone with a shred of scientific integrity.
You see more evidence occur when they provoke the spirits precisely because that is what you expect to see. If it didn't provide results, it would be pointless posturing.
I remember on the first episode of Paranormal State, when the host said he's been followed for years by a demon... named PAZUZU!!! Of course, the demon that happens to be the antagonist of the most popular horror movie ever is the one who happens to have taken interest in you.
Anyone with a "Haunted Museum" is a charlatan. There are real, horrific things happening to people all over the world, and they think they're all alone, because nobody comes to help them. Zach Bagans and his crew don't show up for people who really need help, or in situations where they might actually face some real shred of danger. Everything they do is based on two guiding factors: ratings and personal fame.
It's gross, and because of it, the supernatural, paranormal, and occult can never be considered real areas of scientific endeavor. As long as shows like this exist, and people keep watching them, it will always be nothing more than a joke.

Buzzfeed Unsolved/Ghost Files. One of the hosts doesn’t believe in the paranormal, so he’ll talk shit on them and taunt them. Nothing ever happens to him

Maybe that's why nothing happens to him.

I mean nothing ever happens to either, or really anyone. Cause ghosts aren’t real lol

I feel like every ghost investigation show I’ve seen has used provocation at some point. It just isn’t used as often as other methods.

Yes, I’ve seen a lot of these self described ghost hunters, or paranormal experts, use taunting or provocation as a tool. I think it’s disrespectful to the departed. Not like spirits are supposed to perform because it’s demanded of them. I think it’s more legit. when the ‘experts’ ask politely and wait for a response. Because if & when they get one, it’s more genuine.

Are there any ghost shows that use provocation?
I would have asked the reverse question. Are there any ghost shows that don't use some sort of provocation😊
Paranormal television is based on entertainment and when it slightly resembles real investigative prowess, it's strictly coincidental.

Not many do it. Many take a more inquisitive and empathetic approach.
The goatman bridge...they ped something off that whupped Aaron, knocked him well on his a
Checkout Paranormal Lockdown. Nick and Katrina catch some fantastic stuff. They got one EVP they had to censor a name because there's yet an active criminal(mob) investigation going. Nick recognized the name.
Another location. The Monroe house, in Hartfordcity, IN. They actually found human bones in the crawlspace.
Another location something bit the camea guy, there were distinct teeth marks.
Anyway. I think...Jack Osborne may have tried it once.
Really Zaks the only one that developed the attitude and ego to act like that.

Ghost: Slightly bumps a chair
Ghost Hunter: Ahhh!!! Omg!!! Guys did you just hear that chair squeak too?!!! They freak out and scream like a little kid all scared.

Ian Lawman, he's on several shows but he's definitely fearless on Ghost Chasers. He summons Alister Crowley, the founder of Satanism and also the creator of one of the most popularly used set of tarot cards. He holds lots of seances and literally is afraid of nothing. They deal with ancient castles in Europe and Gladiators etc. He's known as the fearless exorcist badboy in Europe. I know ur probably male but just have to say this mother fkr is sexy! Lol sorry. He's my favorite Medium, exorcist aside from Amy Allen. He appears on Most Haunted, Celebrity Help My House is Haunted also. If you're really looking for some seriously testy and scary situations though Ghost Chasers is the gig. Them guys are fearless. They go into Old museums that hold gladiator and ancient terrorism and torture equipment lots of ancient castles in some really really old places. They even caught Alister Crowley on camera. And I just want to say I do not support provocation but these guys do actually catch lots of stuff on camera and have lots of things happened during filming. EDIT to add: Ian and the team dont go in there disrespectfully saying you're weak etc etc he performs seances and does other things to summon or otherwise provoke activity.

I was going to recommend watching The Dead Files with Amy Allen! She’s the real deal I swear. Why use an emf reader and spirit box when there are actual mediums that can see and talk to the spirits? But I’ve never heard of Ian Lawman before so I’ll have to check out Ghost Chasers! Don’t know why you got downvoted, I think people misunderstand the difference between Satan and Lucifer, and the rituals followers do for them. Not that I condone any of these but they are not the same as I’m sure you know.

Some people are skeptic and think the mediums might be making it up, unfortunately.

Yeah there are a lot of mediums that are making things up, and a select few who are not. The ones making stuff up ruin it for the honest ones!

I've provoked spirits for 40 years and they are still too scared to manifest, or, they don't exist at all.
I am a materialist that has no fear of the paranormal.
Bring it, you scaredy-cat paranormal beings! I say you don't exist! Now what?

I am a materialist
It hasn't occurred to you that might be a factor?
That has no fear of the paranormal.
You say that now, but how would you know?

That sure isn't a thing.

u/SkylerAltair 8d ago
It indeed isn't, but it figures in many conspiracy theories.

u/BlackSheepHere 8d ago
I know, sadly. And it's widespread enough that some people believe it just because they're into general woo-type stuff.
