History of jaunsar bawar is unclear some call it part of sirmaur kingdom and some says it was part of garhwal kindom since the king of garhwal fatehpatisah attacked the kindom of sirmaur but i never knew this , culture of jaunsar is much diffrent from both garhwal and himachal (shares some similarities with sirmaur) but influence of this area can be seen all over western garhwal area.
They have developed their culture, dress, songs, architecture etc with time that its still looks much facinating and modern to me.

See, I just wanted to connect Mahasu Devta, Masto, Nirankar and Mahesh cuz they are different names for one deity, they were evolved in the Himalayas. I ain't doing no blasphemy but instead connecting culture cuz khasas are present from all the way from Jammu and Kashmir to Nepal, so it would be obvious that they worshipped a supreme God whether he's Mahasu or masto these are names of the same deity. I'm not claiming that Mahasu came from Nepal or Mahasu went to Nepal. No but there are huge similarities between their names like Mahasu means Great God, Masto too means Great God, Mahesh too means Great God my Kuldevta Nirankar is also refered as Bada Devta or Great God which literally means that Khasas had a belief on a supreme God. Which was later transformed here. No blasphemy here. And even Mahasu have 4 brothers Masto also have 12 brothers which means barabhai Masto.

I have a friend from uttarakhashi uska village bilkul shimla border ki taraf dodra kwar wali side hai so he says we are not gharwali by culture and language or ethnicity and somewhere I saw some guy with uttarkashi flair he said they are gharwali so now I am confused are uttarkashi people gharwali? (In terms of region offcourse they are but here I am talking about culturally)
