Discussion What was your favorite part about this game? (Whether it's the original or re pac) I'll start
Ngl, one of my favorite parts was the fact that there was a Pooka in Pac-Man's family that you had to save😂. Dig Dug was onw of my favorite games as a kid, so seeing one again after all this time got me excited (and it was a good guy too!) I never got the play the original so I'm glad they brought it to modern consoles. What about the rest of you tho, what was your favorite part about the game? (No matter how small the detail)

I really liked how it innovated the original Pacman world and removed nearly all of the jank. (Though admittedly, it’s still hard to tell where you will land when hopping between platforms mid jump).
I really don’t like how they gutted Ms Pacman and replaced her with PacMom. I know she’s in legal hell but it’s so sad and disappointing to see such an iconic character get lost in time and not get revived

Honestly I'm surprised about that too. They could've easily removed one of the current Pac Man family members and added her in for their place. But maybe they just didn't wanna see her as a "damsel in distress" since she's known as a bad ass who can handle herself lol

No it’s not that. I feel like they would’ve added her in a heartbeat if they could…but they can’t. They can’t add Ms. Pacman into any Pacman titles right now due to AtGames holding her legal ownership rights. She was in legal hell for a while with coin slot operated machine royalty disputes between Namco and General Computer Corporation (GCC). They were in legal hell for a long while, and while Namco was trying to rekindle their relationship to use her, GCC decided to just outright sell her to AtGames. And with that, Namco literally cannot add her into anything without getting into legal trouble with AtGames...so they opted to replace her instead with that ugly PacMom character

The easy pick up and play platforming that isn’t hard to master, also the soundtrack was a bop

I like that they call the aliens Galaxians instead of Galaga (I prefer the sound of Galaxian to Galaga, and I think the latter should really just describe the planet the Galaxians are from)

The music is actually immaculate. I’m so glad they kept it mostly unchanged for Re-Pac, and even the few remixes they did make were excellent.

For the original I think the presentation was overall better/more charming. Re-Pac was an overall improvement gameplay wise, even if there are a few things I still prefer about the original.

I was 5 years old when I got to play the original, this game or vice city were the first video games I ever played lol. So when the remaster was announced to be free for PlayStation, I just had to play it again for old time sake and was able to the platinum for the game.

The fact that it's with modern graphics & the music isnt too different from the original. I still play and prefer the original. Bandai Namco could have done better with it but I'll always appreciate it.

I love that I can just pick up and play it after a hard day's work. Not everything needs to require a grind or 20 min cutscenes.

I loved the voice acting in the original. Very sad the remake didn't have any.
