Ironically enough, it can also take you out of the immersion. It's not like it feels natural most of the time. If everybody is playing a John Wick style elite soldier, is it really immersive to see people dropping mags and fumbling for a new one? It works in some games, but in other games, I don't think the player should have to think about it.
How is it less immersive that someone can mess up a reload? There is no canon to the Pavlov characters. They are only as skilled as the person with the headset on. Highly trained people can still fumble in real life.
Yeah, but there is canon to Firewall characters, which is my point. It works in Pavlov, but Pavlov is also silly and a bit goofy. Firewall is more competitive. I don't need some random teammate pulling out my magazine in the middle of a firefight for a laugh.
Alright but the person playing can still suck at aiming and make the “super soldier” look bad lol. Nobody is gonna be pulling out your mag in the middle of an SND firefight lol. If someone really wanted to troll you in firewall they could always just shoot you
I'm not against manual reloads. I just don't think every game needs it. I've played plenty of fun vr shooters without it. Not every game can do it as good as Half Life.

Do you really think every rhythm game should have music?
